<p>MANILA -- The Philippines has revised its second quarter gross domestic product growth upward ahead of the release of the third quarter GDP figures. </p><p>The Philippine Statistics Authority said the country&#x27;s GDP grew 6.4 percent from April to June, which is slightly higher than the 6.3 percent announced earlier. </p><p>&quot;Major contributors to the upward revision were: Manufacturing, from 3.6 percent to 3.9 percent; Accommodation and food service activities, from 10.4 percent to 12.1 percent; and Real estate and ownership of dwellings, from 7.2 percent to 7.6 percent,&quot; the PSA said.</p><p>The PSA also said it revised upward the annual growth rate of the gross national income from 7.9 percent to 8.1 percent, and the net primary income from the rest of the world from 24.7 percent to 25.7 percent.</p><p>The government is targeting a 6 to 7 percent economic growth rate for 2024.</p><p>Third quarter GDP growth meanwhile came at 5.2 percent, below analysts&#x27; expectations.</p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/qdMCLB7_ye0?autoplay=1&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
