MANILA - The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is hoping to have the groundbreaking ceremony of the Taguig City Integrated Terminal Exchange (TCITX) by December 2024.

DOTr chief Jaime Bautista told the media after the Transport Conference in Parañaque City on Thursday that the project was awarded to Ayala Land Inc., by the previous administration.

“Most probably, we will do a groundbreaking within December this year. Ayala yan, actually this has been awarded to them even before us -previous government pa yan. We just want it to be implemented.”

The TCITX will have a centralized ticketing area and passenger concourse, and will also feature a pedestrian walkway to the the Philippine National Railway FTI station and the proposed Metro Manila subway system.
