MANILA - BDO Unibank advised clients on Thursday that some of its systems are experiencing intermittent downtime.

On its official Facebook page, the bank said it is working to restore the loading of accounts and balances on the BDO Online and BDO Pay apps as soon as possible.

It advised clients that they may continue using BDO Personal Online Banking and BDO ATMs for their banking needs.

On the outage reporting website downdetector.ph, users began reporting problems with BDO around 2:20 p.m. with the outage reports peaking at around 3:10 p.m.

More than half, or 55 percent of the reports were about problems with online banking, while 38 percent were about issues with mobile banking, and 7 percent were about problems with ATMs.  Most of the outage reports came from Metro Manila, Baguio City and Cebu City.

BDO is regulated by the Bangko Sentral and deposits are insured by PDIC up to P500,000 per depositor.   The Sy-led bank advised concerned users to visit the BDO Unibank Facebook page for more details.
