MANILA -- Globe Telecom said Thursday it restored services in some areas that were ravaged by Typhoon Ursula (Phanfone), which struck on Christmas Day and killed 16 people.

Cell sites in Tacloban, Kalibo, Leyte and parts of Samar are "fully restored" and efforts are underway to restore service in Boracay, the Ayala-owned telco said in a statement.
