Amid fierce competition in the cosmetics industry, Mary Kay finds an advantage in being led by a woman.

"I think it helps [that] as a woman there's a lot of sixth sense and intuition and natural affinity for these products. We're selling a beautiful opportunity... I think the ability to try them, to enjoy them, to know exactly what it is we're selling and sharing makes it very different," Sobee Dueñas-Choa, general manager of Mary Kay Philippines said in an exclusive interview with ANC's The Boss.

This intuition, coupled with her years of experience in the industry, keeps Choa on top of her game as a leader in the cosmetics brand.

"There's a code in our company, our founder likes to say, the speed of the leader is the speed of the gang and that's true. I think the team will only do as you do and not as you say so it's very important to set an example," Choa said.
