MANILA - Jollibee Foods Corp said Tuesday it reopened another store with electronic menu boards, touting it as its "most modern" yet.

Customers at the renovated, 2-story Jollibee Katipunan only need to tap on giant screens instead of placing their order at the counters. Twenty-five branches offer the technology, the Philippines' largest fast food operator said.

Using the kiosks reduced processing time for transactions by half, from placing the order to claiming, Jollibee data showed. Up to 63 percent of the total consumers in stores that offer the system use the self-ordering kiosk, Jollibee said.

"The Level Up Joy Store is the start of a new era for Jollibee and is part of our commitment to bring joy to our customers every step of the way - with our great tasting food, better looking stores, exciting innovations and warm, personalized service," Jollibee Philippines president JJ Alano said.

The "Level Up" branded stores also offer wireless charging stations for customers who need to juice up their devices, Jollibee said.

Jollibee is also testing the roll-out of E-bikes for deliveries at the Katipunan branch and in other select stores in Metro Manila and Cavite. These will eventually replace its delivery fleet of motorbikes, the company said.
