MANILA -- Apple on Friday sent out invites for a Sept. 10 event, where it is widely expected to announce new iPhones, including a "pro" branded model with 3 cameras on the back.

Cupertino-based Apple traditionally launches new iPhones at the start of September before the devices go on sale later in the month. Rival Samsung recently unveiled its Galaxy Note 10 line while Huawei will reportedly take the wraps off its flagship Mate 30 series also in September.

The first ever iPhones to carry the "pro" branding will come in 2 sizes and will succeed the iPhone XS and XS Max from 2018, Bloomberg reported. The third lens on the back will allow wide-angle shooting. The cameras will also have improved video recording.

The lower-priced iPhone XR will get a second back camera and new color options, including green, according to reports.

The new iPhones will ship with iOS 13 and some models will be able to reverse-charge compatible devices from its back, similar to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Galaxy Note 10 series, Bloomberg reported.

Apple will also refresh its iPad Pro and Apple Watch lines, according to the report.
