MANILA - AirAsia said it appointed former PLDT Inc executive Ricardo "Ricky" Isla as its new CEO for the Philippines, replacing Dexter Comendador who was named chief operating officer.

Isla's work with PLDT Global Corp involved international product development, sales and distribution. He held general manager positions in US, Italy and Singapore, AirAsia said in a statement.
