MANILA -- Commuting app Sakay.ph said Wednesday it revamped its interface to make it easier for users to navigate around the capital using buses, jeeps, trains and ferries.

The app also provides commuting options using UV Express, the Pasig River Ferry and P2P or point to point premium buses, Sakay.ph co-founder Philip Cheang told ANC.

"Getting around here is very difficult, you have to mix modes and you have to do that all in you head. We want to take away all of that pain," Cheang said.

"One of the features that we actually have is a way for people to prioritize different modes. So if the MRT is down, I want to prioritize buses, if there’s a transport strike I want to prioritize the train," he said.

Sakay.ph, which currently operates only in Metro Manila, plans to expand to Laguna and Cavite, he said.
