MANILA - Philippine Airlines will buy 7 more turboprop planes from Bombardier Commercial Aircraft Inc.

PAL said the seven Q400 New Generation aircraft will bring to twelve the total number of its Bombardier turboprop planes.

"As we position ourselves for growth, we are pleased to be adding more Q400 to our fleet. We are thrilled about the opportunities that lie ahead, and we look forward to offering more capacity and improving connectivity in the region with comfortable, fast and efficient regional aircraft like Bombardier's 86-seat turboprops", said PAL President & COO Jaime J. Bautista.

PAL expects delivery of some of the planes next month for use on its domestic routes.
