MANILA - Philippine Airlines said Friday it was working with authorities on safety protocols as it prepared to resume operations on June 1, when Metro Manila and other urban centers further loosen pandemic restrictions.

The flag carrier said it was working with authorities on safety protocols to finalize routes and flight schedules.

The airline said it would inform the public of the final operating schedule as soon as it is finalized.

Acrylic barriers in check-in counters, social distancing managers, intensive aircraft disinfection, hepa filters and personal protective equipment for flight crew are some of the new normal for the airline, it said.
