MANILA – App-based courier service Ninja Van said Monday it could serve more small and medium businesses after it received an investment from Grab.

Ninja Van has 170 hubs and 8,000 vehicles in the Philippines and also operates in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam.

“The limitations of point-to-point have been geographic in nature as well as in terms of being cost inhibitive for MSME, the social Facebook type of seller,” Ninja Van Martin Cu told ANC’s Early Edition.

“By plugging into a large nationwide network through Ninja Van, now we’re able to connect MSMEs to customers across the nation and give them access to key products like COD (cash on delivery),” he said.
