In the middle of the promotion of her Hollywood debut movie, Liza returned to the Philippines to support the brand relaunch event of Korean skincare brand Deoproce.

“I’m so happy that they put a lot of trust in me and they chose me to be their ambassador. And I’ve been very grateful for that and they’re very supportive of everything that I’ve been doing in the past year. So I’m here today on a quick trip to support the brand as well,” Liza told Metro.Style.

Last year, Liza became the first Filipino ambassador of Deoproce, a brand that has been around for over 20 years which Korean actor Song Kang also endorses. Now, Liza headlines Deoproce’s “Skincare Beyond Compare” campaign which highlights “a transformative journey that redefines beauty standards.” With this new initiative, the brand strives to let Filipinos experience that signature touch of Korean beauty expertise through innovative skincare solutions.

At Deoproce’s “Go Beyond” event held on February 13 at The Blue Leaf Events Pavilion in Taguig, Liza said, “The thing I love about Deoproce is how they put a spotlight on breakthrough ingredients that are derived from nature. All of their products are developed and manufactured in Korea, using the latest techniques and technology. So, just imagine how much research and work is put into developing these products, figuring out what the right ingredients are, and harnessing their power to make great quality products.”

In a quick sit-down interview with Liza, we asked her about the Deoproce products she brought with her to the set of Lisa Frankenstein. In the movie, Liza plays the character of Taffy, the plucky cheerleader stepsister of Lisa (played by Kathryn Newton). While garbed in retro and playful outfits, Liza’s beauty looks as Taffy were simple, with not a lot of makeup on, highlighting beautiful skin that adapted well to the weather in the US.

And everybody actually would comment about my skin, even my makeup artist, who worked with me for Lisa Frankenstein. She would always commend me for having such glowing, smooth skin. And so, I have Deoproce Skin Reveal line to thank for that.”

It’s perfect for days when I’m out in the heat, filming, constantly under harsh lighting, it protects me from the harmful UV rays while keeping my skin cool to the touch. Last but not least, I think it’s my favorite of all, it’s the UV Defence Silky Light Sun Stick. I like it the most because it’s compact, I can bring it around with me.
