After we’ve watched countless Korean dramas in recent years (or months if you’re a K-drama newbie!), you probably have your K-drama dad bias. Some of them we’ve loved for their effective portrayal of the evil father; some we saw as the best dad one could ever have. And then there are the handsome actors who played dad roles that we just can’t stop watching!

To commemorate father’s day, we’ve compiled seven of these jaw-dropping, role model K-drama dads that stirred our hearts. Both from good looks and top-notch acting as father figures, they presented different facets of our appas. Discover them in the gallery below!

Gong Yoo in 'Kim Ji Young: Born 1982' - Gong Yoo has played many roles, but it’s extra refreshing to see him switch from romantic lead to protective dad. Case in point: his excellent performance in hit apocalypse film “Train To Busan” and the drama movie 'Kim Ji Young: Born 1982'. Here he's less groomed than how we usually see him, but the fact remains: he's drop dead gorgeous!Hancinema

Song Joong-ki in 'Space Sweepers' - He not only played a role as a dad in sci-fi film “Space Sweepers”, he also just became a new father in real life! His wife Katy Louise Saunders gave birth to their first-born—a son—on June 14. Though set in space, Joong-ki's visuals still shine through!Hancinema

Jo Jung-suk in 'Hospital Playlist' - Jo Jung-suk is probably everyone’s favorite K-drama dad—he’s just too adorable playing Lee Ik-jun in slice-of-life drama “Hospital Playlist”. We saw how amazing he is as a dad to his fictional son Woo-joo and, of course, a lover to Chae Song-hwa. In real life, Jo Jung-suk is also a father to his daughter with Gummy—whom his wife said resembles him greatly!Hancinema

Lee Joon-gi in 'Flower of Evil' - Who could forget his memorable role as a dad in 2020 hit series “Flower Of Evil”? Certainly not us! While it’s mostly suspense, we still love him as Baek Hee-sung—the hot dad on the block!Hancinema

Lee Do-hyun in '18 Again' - Who didn’t fall in love with him as dad-turned-teen again Hong Dae-young in “18 Again”? We’re totally floored! Caring, the absolute sweetest, supportive, and always present—he’s the type of dad we’ll always root for. See him too in the latest Netflix hit 'Good Bad Mother', where he, too, plays a young father. Jung Hae-in in 'One Spring Night' - We love Jung Hae-in in all of his dramas, but playing single dad Yoo Ji-ho in “One Spring Night” allowed us to see him in a different light. Not to mention, how it would look like if he becomes a father one day—dreamy!Hancinema

Kang Ha-neul in 'When the Camellia Blooms' - He may not have been a real father in the show, but he sure was a father figure to Dong-baek's (Gong Hyo-jin) son. Kang Ha-neul delivers his Baeksang Best Actor winning role with so much talent and passion, but we have to admit—he wins in the visuals aspect, too!Hancinema
