There are really people who are difficult to talk to. They&#x27;re the ones with high egos, so they only believe in their own views and don&#x27;t listen to others&#x27; advice. That&#x27;s exactly how the conceited cop, Rigor (John Estrada), is in <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/batangquiapo">“FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.”</a>But despite his arrogance, his friend Mando (Allan Paule) never stops trying to correct his wrong decisions through sage pieces of advice. Let’s revisit the instances where Mando gave Rigor some real talk, as shown in this Friday 5 feature.In one of their conversations, Rigor expressed that he couldn&#x27;t forget what Ramon (Christopher de Leon) did to Marites (Cherry Pie Picache), which even led to the birth of Tanggol (Coco Martin). However, Mando boldly called Rigor selfish, explaining that if Rigor was hurting, Marites was feeling twice the pain because she was the one who was abused and had to carry Ramon’s child.Mando also fearlessly told Rigor that he was only thinking about his pride. He emphasized that Rigor was wrong for believing that he’d been betrayed by Marites, even though she was innocent, and for thinking he could get back at her by having an affair with Lena (Mercedes Cabral). Mando courageously confronted his buddy, saying he knew the truth because he once caught Rigor and Lena kissing passionately. “Huwag mong baliktarin ang kwento. Pare, ikaw ang nanloloko sa asawa mo,” he told Rigor, urging him not to project his own mistakes onto his wife.In the next scene, Rigor got scolded by his immediate supervisor, Colonel Suarez (King Gutierrez), for neglecting his duties due to an emergency involving the pregnant Lena. Furious, Rigor stormed into the office, trying to justify his absence by saying he had other responsibilities too. But Mando was there, ready to serve Rigor a dose of his own medicine, saying, “Pare, sabit ang tawag diyan,” implying that the reason Rigor has been facing trouble lately might be because karma is finally catching up to him.Remember when it seemed like Rigor was possessed by a demon when he had his son, Santino (Ronwaldo Martin), imprisoned for allegedly murdering Coach Gary (Levi Ignacio), even though there was no evidence yet? Mando saw how unfair and cruel Rigor was acting toward his own family, especially when he let his wife, Marites, kneel in front of him, begging for Santino’s release, but he refused to listen. Mando told Rigor that he should think about his son’s welfare, even though they both knew that Rigor valued the honor and power of being a policeman more than his own family. Viewers likely agreed with Mando when he said he wouldn’t be surprised if one day Rigor finds himself alone because his family had given up on him.Rigor was indeed embarrassed when, with Anika (Dexie Diaz)&#x27;s help, it was proven that Santino was with her in a restaurant, and not at the crime scene, when Coach Gary was killed. Mando even helped Anika pass this evidence to get Santino released. When the truth finally came out, Mando told Rigor that before judging his son as a policeman, he should have listened as a father to Santino.We close this video montage with Rigor in deep trouble as an investigation into his immoral deeds begins, triggered by a complaint from his mother-in-law, Tindeng (Charo Santos), regarding his affair with Lena. But instead of fixing his mistake, Rigor got angry, believing that this was just a scheme by Colonel Suarez to corner him. He even lashed out at Mando, who was only trying to give him some perspective.
