<p>Born and raised in the picturesque town of Barbosa, Antique, Renz Joshua Baña’s  childhood was filled with the simple joys of life—playing street games like <em>tumbang preso</em> and habulan, and enjoying the serene beauty of the mountains meeting the sea. Despite his height, which some might consider a limitation, Renz aka Baby Giant never let it hinder his spirit. He embraced every challenge with a smile, never letting the opinions of others dim his light.</p><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="703" referrerPolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/8k-QYav7XHo" title="TessTube - Interview with Baby Giant" width="1250"></iframe></div><p>In a candid conversation with veteran actress Tessie Tomas on her TessTube channel, Renz shared his experiences filming a torture scene for “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/batangquiapo" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>FPJ’s Batang Quiapo</u></strong></em></a>.”</p><p>“<em>Mainit, sobrang init, kasi storage room,” </em>he recalled, describing the grueling group punishment he faced while being confined in a hot, cramped room. &quot;<em>Tinatali kami, buong katawan sa paa,&quot; </em>he added, highlighting the physical demands of the job. But despite the physical discomfort, Renz found pride in his work. &quot;<em>Sobrang nakaka-proud kasi sobrang taas po ng rating na yun,</em>&quot; he reflected, showing that his effort was worth the sacrifice.</p><div><script data-wid="auto" type="text/javascript" src="https://content.viralize.tv/display/?zid=AAEyze-tm4MR6kEa&amp;cid=ABNrBHTmSEPa8gPi&amp;activation=click&amp;vip_mode=playing&amp;vip_position=bottom-right"></script></div><p>Renz was discovered by Coco Martin, who saw potential in the young man after watching his videos on TikTok and YouTube. That discovery landed him the role of Oweng, one of the members of Tropang Tanggol. But his journey didn’t stop there. With his infectious energy and natural comedic timing, he soon found himself as part of the beloved <strong><u>“<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/goinbulilit" target="_blank"><em>Goin Bulilit</em></a>”</u></strong> gang, where he continues to shine with his gags.</p><p>Renz, a firm believer in the importance of preparation, shared how he studies other comedians, particularly Dagul, to hone his craft. “<em>Pinapanood ko ‘yung mga video niya, paano siya mag-deliver ng gags,</em>” he said</p><div><script data-wid="auto" type="text/javascript" src="https://content.viralize.tv/display/?zid=AAEyze-tm4MR6kEa&amp;cid=ABOFKeF77_qf_Xdw&amp;activation=click&amp;vip_mode=playing&amp;vip_position=bottom-right"></script></div><p>Despite the fame and success, he remains grounded, always remembering the support of his family, friends, and fans. His journey hasn’t been easy, but his positivity and determination have helped him overcome any obstacle life has thrown his way.</p><p>Renz’s story is one of self-acceptance and growth. “<em>Tinanggap ko po nang buo ‘yung pagiging ganito ko,” </em>he said when asked how he overcame the challenges of being a little person.  Before fame, Renz was like any other child—full of energy, dreaming of a brighter future. Growing up, he enjoyed simple pleasures like playing traditional Filipino street games, including <em>tumbang preso</em> and <em>habulan,</em> while living near the beach and mountains.</p><p>It wasn’t always easy for him. “<em>Dati po, ano, naiisip ko po ‘yun,na bakit ako pinanganak na ganito? Naiinggit po ako sa mga tao na normal sila,”</em> he admits. However, through the love and support of his family, friends, and fans, he learned to embrace his uniqueness.</p><p>Renz continues to find joy in the simplest things—whether it’s dancing, spending time with loved ones, or performing in front of an audience. His joy is contagious, and it’s this positivity that makes him a true star.</p>
