As we all know, basketball and volleyball are two of the most popular sports in the Philippines. However, there are also some Filipinos who are fascinated and adept at billiards, just like Pilipinas Got Talent Season 6 contestant Jonacris Bandillo who amazed us with the artistic pool trick shots that he showcased during his audition in 2018.

A proud tricycle driver from Sta. Cruz, Laguna, he implied that he’s able to develop his billiards skills over time as he usually spends time playing in a bilyaran with his friends every time he’s not hitting the road to work.

And for this special performance, the four judges – Vice Ganda, Angel Locsin, Freddie M. Garcia, and Robin Padilla – were taken to a billiard hall to watch him carry out eight tricks and see if he’s really worthy to proceed to the next level of the competition.

For his first trick, he had to shoot the ball nearest to him by hitting the “1” ball placed on the other side of the billiard table with a cue ball. The “1” ball hit the ball beside it and created a domino effect onto the other balls until the last in line pushed the nearest to him to the corner pocket.

In his second trick, Jonacris was able to shoot four balls into the two side pockets, two of which were placed on top of two small cylinders. Then for the third trick, there are eight balls lined up on two cue sticks placed side by side each other and he was able to shoot the “1” ball to one of the pockets while the rest of the balls to the other – in just one hit of the cue ball.

For the fourth trick, the “13”, “9”, and “11” balls were all on the table and in just a single hit, he was able to shoot the “9” and “11” to the corner pocket near them while the “13” ball to the other.

The fifth trick was a bit complicated as he placed a triangle on the table and lined up four balls on each of its two angles. He must be able to make the cue ball pass through between the two rows of balls without hitting one of them, then hit the two balls covered by paper on the opposite side of the table and shoot them to separate corner pockets.

For the sixth trick, he was able to shoot four balls into different pockets without looking. Then for the seventh trick, he was able make the cue ball roll on the table and on the top of two cue sticks placed side by side then hit a ball and shoot it to one of the side pockets

And for the last trick, he was able to shoot four balls into different pockets despite having two triangles and a woman hook sitting on the table.

Jonacris was able to accomplish those challenges precisely and flawlessly, much to the astonishment of the four judges. Thus, he wasn’t only able to earn praises from them, but four “yes”, too!

Watch out for other remarkable performances and unforgettable contestants from past seasons of Pilipinas Got Talent in the next episodes of PGT Rewind!
