With their natural warmth and adorable looks, dogs have a special way of winning people’s hearts. It’s no surprise that some celebrities have turned into fur moms and dads.

Meet the celebs who are certified dog lovers in this edition of Kapamilya Snaps!

If you follow Lovi Poe on Instagram, you know she has a big heart for dogs. You probably saw her make friends with a stranger’s dogs during one of her travels, sympathize with viral dog stories, and grieve her first pet’s passing. Currently, she features two doggos on social media –Phoebe and Señor, whom she describes as “best in lambing and best in paawa effect.”

Lovi’s best friend in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Toni Fowler, is a certified dog lover as well. Talking about their pets and watching dog videos are among their favorite downtime activities on the set. Toni and her pawsome baby named “Birthday” just turned three years old in June 2023. And they are inseparable, even at work, “gusto palagi nakasiksi kay Mommy Oni.”

The Iron Heart star Sue Ramirez owns not just one but five babies – Pearl, Sally, Abba, Bingo, and Eddie. She formally introduced them in an Instagram post where she expressed her difficulty in taking a decent photo of them, and how hard it was for her to leave them at home due to her lock-in taping in Cebu.

Seasoned actresses Cherry Pie Picache and Janice De Belen aren’t just devoted moms to their kids, but they’re as loving to their pet dogs, too. Cherry Pie even assisted her female dog, Rey, in giving birth to 10 puppies last April 2023. She also has two male pets named Tantan and Chewie.

Meanwhile, Janice had 11 dogs at one point. Currently, she often shares moments with her pet babies Adam, Hanuel, and Chopper on social media.

For couples, having fur babies is one way to make the relationship stronger. Vice Ganda and Ion Perez enjoy married life with their furbabies named Chip In, Adele, Femi, and Mishka. The recent addition to the brood is a cute black-and-white Pomeranian priced at 380 thousand pesos. In a vlog, the It’s Showtime hosts mentioned that having pets make their home a happier place. As for Ion, he wanted to have a furbaby so that Vice would still have company whenever he’s not around.

Loveteam Alexa Ilacad and KD Estrada share many things in common, such as their love for dogs. In fact, when asked what “paraiso” is to her during an exclusive interview with Entertainment.ABS-CBN.com, Alexa envisioned a world with no animal cruelty. She’s an active supporter of animal shelters and has two dogs, Peanut Butter and Blush. Alexa is a devoted fur mom and she hosted a party for her dogs’ birthdays last January 2023. Meanwhile, KD has his own named Cola who turned a year-old last November 2022.

And who doesn’t love a “family” portrait with dogs? KDLex made us feel giddy when they posed for a Christmas portrait with their pets in 2022.

Having dogs certainly fosters a couple’s relationship. Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte are proof. They first became fur parents in 2019 to an adorable puppy they named Daks after his character in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Fantastica.” In a vlog, LoiNie mentioned they have grown the pack to a total of 21 at one point. Some members of their dog squad are Tokyo and Rio the French Bulldogs, El the English Bulldog, Maze the Great Dane, Lexa the Samoyed, and Mike the Yorkie.

One thing that probably makes Dirty Linen stars Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin compatible is their affinity for dogs. Francine is doing pet parenting right by being a hands-on mom. In a YouTube video, she bathed Luna. She also bought a cute dress and shoes for the doggo to wear.

Her on-screen partner, Seth, shows that, sometimes, the best buddies are your dogs. He considers Whiskey, Zero, and Chivas his “tropa”. He loves to take them on outdoor walks. In an episode of “KaPet Lang” on OKS (Online Kapamilya Shows), Seth introduced Whiskey and showcased some tricks that they have practiced like playing hide-and-seek and fetching objects.

Some male celebrities are dog lovers as well. Admit it, seeing them hang out with their fur babies make them look cooler. For instance, having Nuggie the Bulldog around, especially during his workout sessions, add more charm to The Iron Heart star Jake Cuena’s personality.

The same goes with Pira-Pirasong Paraiso star Joseph Marco who is a sweet dad to Dumbo; and Nag-Aapoy Na Damdamin actor Tony Labrusca with his four-legged friends Nala and Rocky.

Through his being a fur dad, Joshua Garcia shows off his domesticated side. Especially during the quarantine, he would post social media images that capture his hands-on approach as a ‘pawrent’ such as in bathing and training his dog Marley, After a year, he officially introduced Marley’s sibling, Luffy.
