Avid Kapamilya viewers, particularly the young ones, are arguably familiar with promising young actor Luke Alford, for he has already appeared in various television programs of ABS-CBN ever since his child star days. And now, he’s known as one of the main cast members of the youth-oriented series “Zoomers,” playing the role of the happy-go-lucky yet dependable Cocoy.

Apart from being born with an artistahin facade, he’s also blessed to be given a name fit for a star – Luke James Como Alford – which he also uses as his screen name, sans his second and middle names. The Libra baby was welcomed into the world by his parents on October 13, 2004, making him 20 years old this year.

While he has no definite reason why black is his favorite color, aside from the fact that he’s into dark hues, the young actor passionately talked about his other favorites. His favorite food is caldereta, since he tends to often eat it because it is one of the dishes that would never be absent in every occasion or gathering in Batangas, where he was born and raised. Aside from being his beloved hometown, Luke also regards the province as his favorite vacation spot because it boasts an abundance of beautiful beaches.

Aside from being a lover of dark colors, caldereta, and beaches, he’s apparently fond of mellow and acoustic tunes, as he divulged that his favorite song at the moment is “Stop This Train” by John Mayer. Other things that he’s inclined to do are play basketball and online games, as well as sing.

We may have already seen his impressive skills in acting and singing, which he aspires to be known for someday, but know that he has a special talent that not a lot of people can do. He demonstrated his flexibility by attaching his thumb finger to his wrist. We wonder if he can use it once his dream of taking on action projects and kontrabida roles comes true someday.

Some of us may perhaps be afraid to fail, but not him, who swears by his motto in life that “Failure is the fuel to success.”

Luke was then able to unleash his being makulit in real life, just like his “Zoomers Season 2” character Cocoy, as he answered “love is everywhere” when quizzed about his definition of it. He might not have elaborated on it, but we all know that he’s speaking the truth, right?

Just in case you missed or forgot about it, his TV debut was via “The Voice Kids Season 2” in 2015, which was actually his first-ever audition experience. During the “blind auditions,” he charmed us not only with his cuteness but also with his rendition of Train’s “Hey Soul Sister” which captivated all three coaches. In the end, he chose to be part of the “FamiLea” by Broadway Diva Lea Salonga.

Meanwhile, he’s apparently one of the admirers of “It’s Showtime” host Anne Curtis, as he considers his first-ever encounter with her as his first fanboy moment. It happened when he spotted her in one of the ABS-CBN Station ID shoots, and in spite of being filled with kilig as a kid, he made sure to not miss the opportunity of snapping a photo with her.

Luke may have fallen short in his bid to become the grand winner of “The Voice Kids Season 2,” but he was still blessed with several projects through which he’s been able to further develop and showcase his other talents. Among them was the children’s television show “Team Yey!” which he co-starred with Sam Shoaf, whom he regards as his first-ever showbiz friend.

He then made his teleserye debut via the ABS-CBN daytime series “Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin,” wherein he got to work alongside his showbiz role model Jake Cuenca as he played his younger counterpart. “Nakakasama ko siya sa taping tapos sobrang bait niya and magaling siyang makitungo sa mga tao,” he commented about the seasoned actor.

Do these interesting revelations from Luke Alford about himself help you get to know him further?
