Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Kyzha Villalino and social media personality Concon Felix are proud of how BL/GL stories are slowly gaining popularity in the Philippines. They portrayed one in the most recent episode of ABS-CBN Entertainment’s Made For YouTube series Love Bites.

Love Bites: “First and Last” is presented from the POV of Kyzhia’s character, Mel, a hopeless romantic who wishes her first love to also be her last. She falls for Concon’s lesbian character, Job. The story will then make viewers anticipate if Mel would achieve her dream after choosing Job.

Love Bites’ first GL episode is more than just a ‘kilig’ tale. It also reflects what LGBT people experience when falling in love. Kyzha and Concon are happy that the BL/GL genre is now getting more support from Pinoy viewers.

Concon shared, “Nakaka-proud and sobrang naa-appreciate ko. RCD Narratives is an ABS-CBN TV production unit under Ms. Roda dela Cerna.

Kyzha and Concon came into the set a bit nervous and pressured, given that it’s their first major acting stint. Nevertheless, they enjoyed the experience. Director Dado Lumibao and everyone behind the scenes helped them shape their performances.

A crucial part of rom-coms is the chemistry between the key players. In the case of Kyzha and Concon, it looked impossible at first, since they haven’t met each other in person prior to being cast in the episode. Kyzha only knew Concon through social media. During their first Zoom meeting, Concon also thought of her co-star as too serious. But, determined to work it out, they followed each other on Instagram right away to ease the awkwardness. They worked on becoming friends and really getting to know each other. So, things were easier when they started taping.

The rookies, who are always game for big risks, hope this would be the start of their acting career.

They feel ‘kilig’ just thinking about it. Kyzha wishes to work with Dimples Romana, while Concon picks Joshua Garcia as her dream co-star.

Kyzha and Concon’s Love Bites episode titled “First and Last” is now available on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube Channel.
