Heartwarming tributes of celebrities to the dads in their lives

<p>Last Sunday, June 18, our social media feeds were once again flooded with amusing and heartwarming tributes to all fathers and father-figures in our lives. Majority of the posts we encountered were photos and videos showing their fondest memories with their dads and/or significant others who are also dads, along with their sweet (and funny!) messages for them.</p><p>Of course, our favorite celebrities didn’t let the special day simply pass by without them honoring the most important men in their lives. Find out how they did it in this Kapamilya Snaps feature!</p><div><strong>Luis Manzano</strong></div><p>Since it’s his first time to celebrate Father’s Day this year, Luis’ gorgeous wife Jessy made sure that it was going to be extra special for him by sharing an adorable video of the<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/icsyv"> <strong><u>I Can See Your Voice</u></strong></a> host with their firstborn Isabella Rose.</p><p>She captioned it: “Seeing you as a father made me fall in love with you even more. Thank you for always protecting and loving us with all your heart.”</p><div><strong>Jhong Hilario</strong></div><p>This year’s celebration is indeed remarkable for Jhong because aside from celebrating it for the second time, he also finally earned his college diploma as magna cum laude recently. His longtime partner Maia Azores took to Instagram to greet him on this awesome feat by posting a family picture of them taken during his graduation, along with a clip of him accepting his diploma and other pictures of him onstage.</p><p>The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itshowtime"><strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong></a> host also received the cutest video from his daughter Sarina, wherein she was recorded uttering “I miss you. Office lang.” Probably, that was her way of asking his daddy to come home as soon as possible.</p><div><strong>Anne Curtis</strong></div><p>Hearts surely melted when Anne posted a short video of her husband Erwan Heussaff’s most recent bonding moments with their daughter Dahlia. “Fatherhood has brought out a smile I’ve never seen, a laughter I’ve never heard, a new side of you that I love to admire as I watch all these magical moments unfold,” the<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itshowtime"> <strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong></a> mainstay wrote.</p><div><strong> Janine Gutierrez</strong></div><p>To honor her Papa Monching Gutierrez, Janine jumped on a TikTok trend to show off his good looks through the years in a montage. The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/dirtylinen"><strong><u>Dirty Linen</u></strong></a> actress captioned it: “Thank you for making me feel safe always and for always being there for us, willing to go anywhere for us. We couldn’t ask for more.”</p><div><strong>Ogie Alcasid</strong></div><p>On the eve of Father’s Day, Ogie went on a date with her kids Leila and Nate and they watched the hit proudly-Filipino musical, “<em>Ang Huling El Bimbo.”</em> The following day, the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/asap"><strong><u>ASAP Natin ‘To</u></strong></a> host took his <em>unico hijo</em> Nate to his first-ever golf game as part of their family tradition. He disclosed on IG, “38 years ago I started playing golf with my dad on Father’s Day. Today is yours buddy.”</p><div><strong>Vhong Navarro</strong></div><p>The Father’s Day 2023 celebration of Vhong and his family was intimate. He uploaded a photo of them having a sumptuous meal, along with a snap of him with his sons Isaiah and Fredriek captured during his and wife Tanya’s wedding in 2019.</p><div><strong>Kim Chiu</strong></div><p>Our beloved Chinita Princess once again touched us with her amusing and heartfelt tribute for her Papa William on Father’s Day. She created a short video featuring some of their adorable memories together through the years, which she captioned: “We may not have the ideal father-daughter relationship, but I want to say thank you for being our Papa. ‘Pag medyo alanganin na and hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko, lagi mo sinasabi ‘Ako na bahala, wag ka na mag isip, ako na bahala.”</p><div><strong>Dimples Romana</strong></div><p>We may admire her for everything that she does on-and-off-cam, but Dimples implied through her Father’s Day post that all of those wouldn’t be possible without her husband of 20 years, Boyet Ahmee. She praised him for being a hands-on dad to their three kids Callie, Alonzo, and Elio.</p><p>The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/theironheart"><strong><u>The Iron Heart</u></strong></a><strong> </strong>actress captioned the IG reel she created: “For the moments that no one else ever gets to see what you do, but I do Ta. Thank you for always giving your best.”</p><div><strong>Arjo, Ria, and Gela Atayde</strong></div><p>The three siblings each dedicated a post to their beloved dad, Art Atayde, through which they also imparted some of their fondest moments with him. Arjo wrote, “You have always had my back without even telling me that you had it. You’re beyond great, dad! I will always be thankful for you.” </p><p>Gela, on the other hand, had a funny tribute for him by saying, “You are the strongest yet most compassionate person I know. Thank you for being my inspiration in everything I do. I’ll always be your little princess,” and uploading a hilarious throwback photo of them.</p><p>Ria did the same by stating in her post: “I wouldn’t choose anyone else to roll my eyes at. Hahaha. Love you everyday.”</p><div><strong>Sue Ramirez</strong></div><p>Despite her hectic schedule, Sue made sure that she would personally pay her late dad James Peter Dodd a visit on the very day of the occasion. The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/theironheart"><strong><u>The Iron Heart</u></strong></a>leading lady uploaded a short video of her visit on IG and captioned it: “If only I could turn back time..I love you, Dada. Happy Father’s Day!”</p><div><strong>Sofia Andres</strong></div><p>A lot of hearts were surely touched with the montage posted by Sofia as she honored her partner Daniel Miranda. “Zoe is so lucky to have a Dad like you. Always know that I’m always here for you to support you and I pray all your dreams come true,” the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/theironheart"><strong><u>The Iron Heart</u></strong></a> actress wrote in the message she attached.</p><div><strong>Darren Espanto</strong></div><p>For this year, Darren once again kept his tribute to his Daddy Lyndon short but sweet by simply writing “Happy Father’s Day!” on the throwback snaps that he posted on IG. In these never-before-seen pictures, a very young and cute Darren was seen enjoying his visit to an amusement park together with his beloved parents.</p><div><strong>Andi Abaya</strong></div><p>Andi delighted her followers when she uploaded a sweet selfie with her Daddy Jomini and affixed a message that is both funny and heartwarming. “Una sa lahat, thank you kasi sayo nagmana ilong ko,” Andi started off, then added, “I am grateful for all the sacrifices you’ve made for us and the love you continue to shower every single day.”</p><div><strong>Angelica Panganiban</strong></div><p>Ever since giving birth, Angelica has been delighting us with her posts about her motherhood journey and fond moments with daughter, Amila Sabine, almost everyday. And Father’s Day wasn’t an exception as she paid tribute to her fiance Gregg Homan by creating a reel showing their adorable daddy-daughter moments.</p><p>Angelica made it extra poignant by writing in the caption: “Mula noon pa, kung saan saan ako naghahanap ng ibig sabihin ng pagmamahal ng isang ama…Hindi ko akalain na magiging mapalad ako ngayon, na nakikita at nararamdaman ko na siya. Napaka swerte ni amila at ikaw ang una nyang pag ibig, kalaro at dada. Maraming salamat sa pag ganap ng buong buo at higit pa. Mahal na mahal ka namin.”</p><div><strong>Iza Calzado</strong></div><p>In the sea of heartwarming tributes, among those that stood out was Iza&#x27;s, as she opted to honor her husband Ben Wintle by posting an adorable video of him trying his best to perform the Pinoy nursery rhyme “Tong, Tong, Tong Pakitong-kitong” in front of her and their <em>unica hija </em>Deia Amihan. She revealed, “You saw how much this song made Deia happy whenever I would sing it to her so you learned it for us.”</p><p>Iza, of course, didn’t forget to remember her late Daddy Lito by uploading a throwback photo of them. “You taught me how to express love so genuinely and I am able to show my child so much love because I learned from the best,” the forever “daddy’s girl” stated.</p><div><strong>Judy Ann Santos</strong></div><p>Being together for more than a decade now, Juday is indeed certain to declare that her husband Ryan Agoncillo is “the coolest dad evah” in an IG post. The esteemed actress-host expressed her admiration for him through an IG reel and simply wrote, “To the world, you are a father.. but to our family, you are our world.”</p><div><strong>Angeline Quinto</strong></div><p>Last, but definitely not the least, is Angeline, who boasted some of the adorable moments between his partner Nonrev Daquina and their firstborn Sylvio. The Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs fondly told him, “Thank you for being such a strong person for us. You are an awesome Father and We love you.”</p>
