One to always wear her heart on her sleeve, Barbie Imperial did not hesitate to share her thoughts about relationships and ‘other women’ in this episode of Kapamilya Chat.

The first part of the interview was about Barbie’s latest iWantTFC original series “The Goodbye Girl” where she plays Kiera, a married man’s mistress. But unlike other ‘side chicks’ that elicit intense ‘gigil’, Kiera will be earning viewers’ respect, it seems. She’s oblivious to her boyfriend’s marital status at first and struggled to let go even when she found out. But in the end, Kiera ended the relationship, which Barbie commends the character for.

“Kasi hindi lahat ng kabit will stop talaga. ‘Yung ibang kabit matatapang pa talaga, eh. Gusto pa nila malaman ng legal na asawa na may sila,” said Barbie of Kiera’s wise decision.

Similar to her character, Barbie considers ‘other women’ the final straw in a relationship. “For me, enough is enough ‘pag may ibang girl na. But if may ibang girl, parang, so ipaglalaban kita doon sa ibang babaeng ‘yun? If na-attract ‘yung partner ko sa ibang babae, ibig sabihin hindi na siya one hundred percent into me. So, I’m not gonna fight for that. Sa’yo na ‘yan,” she explained.

The Kapamilya beauty went on to talk about her co-star Turs Daza, whom she met during a promo event for a movie in La Union last year.

Although she hasn’t seen him act before, Barbie was impressed by Turs’ performance in the series. “Sobrang galing niya!

She also appreciates his being a gentleman and a good conversationalist. She said Turs knew how to break the ice between them.

Barbie brought with her lessons gleaned from the series, one of which is learning to let go, “Lalo na if it’s not serving you peace. If pilit na siya, you have to let it go na kasi mas masarap at masaya ang mga bagay ‘pag hindi pilit.”

Asked if she has any message to Kapamilyas struggling to let go of a toxic relationship, Barbie kept it honest but practical. She said it’d be convenient to say that giving up is the best option but we’re all different. She said it depends on a person’s emotional tolerance and timing.
