The characters he had played in the projects she starred in may always exhibit sunny disposition, but, unbeknown to us, up-and-rising actor Anthony Jennings has actually gone through a lot of challenges in life ever since he was still a kid. And he opened up about two of his most difficult and painful experiences in the Part 4 of iWantTFC’s “Tara, G! Kape't Kwentuhan”.

He started off by imparting how he took advantage of his lowest points instead of moping on those, which could be the reason why he’s able to maintain his jolly persona. Then, he talked about how proud he is of his parents who brought him up into becoming the person that he is at present.

The Filipino-British young actor wasn’t able to hold back his emotions as he began to impart how thankful he is to his dad, who passed away just recently. He thinks of him highly for working hard for their family his whole life and supporting him in his endeavors until his last breath. Besides, he taught him to be generous, friendly, cheerful, and brave.

At the same time, he’s also thankful to his mom who has been there for her no matter what, even though she has her own struggles to confront, too.

“Gano’n ang buhay, minsan mabibigla tayo. May mga taong mawawala, may mga taong babalik, may mga taong mawawala forever. Pero ang pinaka-importante, dapat tayo mismo, sa sarili natin, hindi tayo mawawala. Dapat intact lang tayo, dapat matibay, matigas. Warrior, kumbaga,” he uttered. “Pero okay lang na mag-breakdown minsan [o] umiyak. May pinagdadaanan naman tayong lahat, ‘di ba?”

Anthony went on to further disclose that his dad was actually planning to take a vacation here this coming December and buy a farm for his retirement, but that – unfortunately – wouldn’t happen anymore. He had the chance to talk with him before he died, wherein he reminded Anthony to take good care of himself and his siblings. And then the next thing he knew, he’s already in comatose and then peacefully died after his kidney already failed to function.

He’s regretful that they weren’t able to spend much time together nor at least talk over the phone since both of them were busy with their respective work. Besides, it also pierces him that he wasn’t able to find out how sick his dad was and that he was not by his side before he died.

This triggered Zach’s emotions anew as he was reminded by the last moment he had with his beloved late Yaya Susan, who he carried to the car as they rushed her to the hospital.

With regards to how he’s overcoming that heartbreaking point of his life, Anthony stated, “Ngayon, lumalaban ako. Hindi pa naman ako sobrang nakaka-bounce back sa buhay ko, kahit hanggang ngayon naman may pinagdadaanan pa rin ako, pero kakayanin naman kasi para rin naman sa kanya ‘to saka may mga iniwan siya sa akin at may mga naiwan pa. Sa lahat ng ginagawa ko, ginagamit kong fuel ‘yon. Minsan magiging malungkot, pero sisikat pa rin ang araw para sa ating lahat,”

Life may have been sad and unfortunate for him ever since he was a kid, but he just learned go with it with a smile on his face.

When asked for their messages for each other, JC Alcantara was the first one to speak. According to him, he had plenty of takeaways from their touching conversation that he’s certainly going to keep in him, such as to cherish every moment with their families. He added that we must show them how much we love them, make every moment with them count, and make amends with them whenever we have misunderstandings or troubles.

He’s also glad that they are able to know each other deeper as working together for Tara G! paved the way for them to be open and closer with one another. Thus, he has nothing but pride and love for each one of them.

The same goes for Vivoree who felt like an ate while listening to their stories and how they’re able to overcome those. JC chimed in to impart how impressed he is that they’re able to fix their issues among them by immediately talking about it, which made them a real barkada. CJ Salonga seconded it by comparing the friendship they have to romantic relationships which should not be only for the good times, but for the bad as well.

Since they’ve already formed a tight bond, Anthony shared that he couldn’t help herself from missing them every time they’re out of their bubble as he has considered them his family. He also told them how proud he is of them because they know how to look back where they came from or their roots, which they use to motivate themselves in reaching their goals despite the obstacles and heartbreaks along the way. Thus, when the day comes that all of them are on the peak of success, he’ll indeed proudly give them a round of applause.

Daniela Stranner, on the other hand, conveyed how grateful she is of them for accepting her wholeheartedly and making her feel that she belongs in spite of the unpleasant things she did. She recalled how nervous she was on their first meeting, but that instantly vanished when they cheerfully greeted them. She apologized again to Kaori and Anthony, too.

The young actress also imparted how they’re able to help her move forward from that lowest point of her life and motivate her to continue with her career during those times that she was already on the brink of giving up.

Kaori wasn’t able to hold her emotions as she told everyone how thankful she is to them, as well, for opening up about their painful and difficult experiences in life and how they’re able to bounce back from those, which truly inspired her.

With regards to Daniela, she told her that she appreciated everything that happened to them in the past and how she owned up to her mistakes and apologized. Even though that controversy hurt her so much since she considers her as a friend, Kaori said that she has already forgiven her and moved on from it.

The episode capped off with seven of them having a group hug and thanking the people behind Tara G! and their fans for choosing and sticking with them amidst their individual issues and everything they went through.
