Being one of the brightest and most versatile artists of ABS-CBN, it definitely doesn’t come as a surprise that Jodi Sta. Maria has appeared multiple times not just in teleseryes and films, but also in some Kapamilya events, which include the prestigious Star Magic Ball.

With the ABS-CBN Ball 2023 fast-approaching, let us look back on how she dominated the red carpet through the years.

She was among the celebrities who were already present in the inaugural staging of the annual glitzy affair in 2007. And just like everyone who were in attendance that time, she immediately made a statement by arriving in a long white empire waist dress that she matched with a pair of white pearl earrings and white cylindrical handbag. Her loosely done bun updo highlighted her beauty, while her bright red lips made her look more elegant.

The following year, she opted for a more modest black and white satin number that featured a plain white top bust with a simple floral design and a vertically-striped serpentine skirt with a sparkling black ribbon detail above it. Making her shine more were her silver jewelries, white and silver handbag, and her shimmering blush-on and lipstick, which were a trend during that time.

From black and white, Jodi wore a different color at the red carpet in the 2009 Ball. She came in a yellow gold strapless gown, which had a heavily embellished upper part and a chocolate-colored silk ribbon cinching her waist to show off her curves. She seemed to wear a disheveled short wig that she decorated with a bejeweled gold hairclip on the left side of her head.

Shying away from anything flashy and flamboyant, the award-winning actress chose to strut in a simple yet sophisticated long-sleeved black maxi dress with boat neckline in 2010. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail and wore make-up in shades of nude, which made us appreciate more her natural beauty. Aside from the simplicity of her look, another thing about her that caught our attention was the huge turquoise ring that she wore in her right middle finger.

She then gave us a different kind of vibe in 2011 by putting on an off-white sleeveless number that had a sequined top exposing her décolletage and a mix of fur and sheer skirt, with was separated by a black waistband. She wore her wavy mane down, parting them on each side of her shoulders.

She did it by donning a floor-length silver tube gown that had a long train and black lace details on the chest. Making her extra stunning was the pair of diamond drop earrings and deep red lips that went really well with her 2013 look.

Making her extra elegant, sophisticated and timeless was her center-parted chignon, barely-there makeup, and exaggerated earrings.

And in 2017, she further wowed us with her ageless splendor when she graced the event in a black halter dress with gold collar. She topped it off by wearing minimal gold accessories and pulling back her hair into a sleek ponytail. These made her natural beauty and radiating glow standout in the constellation of stars present in the event.
