“Sa madilim na gabi, isinilang Siya sa mundo.” This was how Jesus’ gift of salvation, hope, light, and love came about. His nativity, truly the greatest story ever told; and this timeless story is reintroduced to us through the soul-stirring lyrics and melody of the 2023 ABS-CBN Christmas Special ID titled “Pasko Ang Pinakamagandang Kwento.”

Bearing an uplifting message centered on Jesus Christ’s birth as the reason for the season, the 2023 ABS-CBN CSID inspires Filipinos to find joy in the midst of uncertainties, and cling to Jesus Christ’s light that shines in the darkness.

According to ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management Division head and the anthem’s composer Robert Labayen, “Pasko Ang Pinakamagandang Kwento” also pays homage to ABS-CBN’s passionate pursuit of providing significant stories to Filipino people despite many setbacks. It’s a song that provides a deeper meaning of “pasasalamat” and “puso” this Yuletide season.

As one family, ABS-CBN stars, news personalities, and employees assembled to celebrate such a heart-warming story, spreading love and cheer as they sing the newest Christmas track. A first, collaborators GMA Network, TV5, and A2Z are part of the Kapamilya CSID.

One of the artists who lent their voices to the CSID is Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo, whose sweet and velvety vocals made the jingle sound like a heavenly Christmas carol. Complementing her silky tone in some of the most important parts of the song is It’s Showtime’s Batang Cute-po Imogen Cantong.

Kathryn Bernardo shared her talent with Kapamilyas by having gone on board for this year’s recording as well. In the behind-the-scenes photo gallery, she’s seen having a mini-reunion with Darren Espanto in the recording booth.

Also in the photos, Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda is seen spreading good vibes in the recording booth and chatting with good friend Moira dela Torre. It’s been a tradition for Angeline Quinto to participate in the singing of the annual ABS-CBN Christmas ID, and this year is no different.

This also gave time for new-gen OPM stars Angela Ken, Fana, and Trisha Denise to showcase their musical prowess.

ASAP Natin ‘To performers were part of the all-star recording such as Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, and Martin Nievera. Rock icon and The Voice Philippines coach Bamboo is present in this year’s CSID, too.

Kapamilya leading men Coco Martin and Daniel Padilla are also among the performers. “Can’t Buy Me Love” power tandem Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano marked their third time singing for the ABS-CBN Christmas Special ID.
