It may not be February yet, but it already felt like Valentine’s Day for the ardent supporters of top young Kapamilya loveteams DonBelle, FranSeth, and KDLex as they made their remarkable debuts in this year’s edition of the ABS-CBN Ball, held this Saturday, September 30, at the Makati Shangri-La.

Among them, it’s "Pira-Pirasong Paraiso" stars KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad who first appeared on the red carpet, endearing us with their lovely presence. KD marked his first-ever Ball in a classic tuxedo, while Alexa was absolutely glowing in a Mak Tumang creation, which is fully-beaded lime green halter gown “with glass effect lining, a fitted bodice & chandelier-like overall finish with tassel details on the skirt” that highlighted her curves.

Next are "Fractured" stars Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin, who initially paraded on the red carpet separately, then join up for the photo-ops. Seth went for the classic suit and tie with a dainty silver medallion pinned on the left lapel, which is made extra dapper by his wayfarer sunglasses. Francine, meanwhile, exhibited the matured and sultry side of her through her heavily-embellished, décolletage-bearing Val Taguba number, which strategically displayed her skin through its mesh cutouts. Making her look extra sexy was her long wavy locks with wispy fringes.

One of the most awaited pairs to grace the red carpet is Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, who definitely did not disappoint. Donny was so debonair in an all-black Louis Vuitton suit, which he accentuated with a silver necklace. Belle, meanwhile, gave us princess vibes with her bedazzled one-shoulder gold gown by Michael Leyva, which has a peekaboo cutout on the right waist and low scoop back. With how completely majestic and beautiful they were that evening, DonBelle, who are about to star in their highly anticipated teleserye debut "Can’t Buy Me Love" this October, were named the “People’s Choice: Power Couple of the Ball”.

On the other hand, real-and-reel-life sweethearts and "Pira-Pirasong Paraiso" stars Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte (or LoiNie), who are already on their fourth time attending the Ball together, indeed served fiery and astig looks in their matching black ensembles. Loisa is a true bombshell in a Bonita Penaranda sweetheart black dress with corset bodice and peekaboo cutouts in both sides of her waist. She punctuated it with a trendy Y2K ponytail neatly done and a pair of gold hoop earrings. Ronnie, meanwhile, is so dashing in a classic tuxedo from Dior, which he accented with a black satin waistband and a quirky Balenciaga shades with white frame.

Aside from the aforementioned tandems, there are also other pairs who spread kilig vibes on the red carpet.

Two years since the finale of "PBB Connect," where both of them came from, Andi Abaya and Kobie Brown (a.k.a. KoDrea) also mark their first time at the ABS-CBN Ball as well. Andi really sparkled in an embellished silver tube dress by Russel May Cordero Atelier, which she matched with a fierce makeup and brushed up slick hair. Apparently, Kobie made sure to match her up by wearing an all-black tuxedo that featured a beaded coat and a glittery bowtie.

They may have arrived in contrasting colors, but that didn’t hinder us from seeing the chemistry between Vivoree Esclito and Brent Manalo, whose shippers fondly tag them as “ViBrent.” Vivoree dazzles in a custom hooded black evening dress by Lauren Vito, which sheer fabric gives us a peek of her sexy figure. Brent, on the other hand, catches attention in his all-white deconstructed suit by Joey Samson, that he punctuated with a silver necklace and a pair of white heeled tuxedo shoes.

And last, but definitely not the least, is the adorable team-up of "PBB Connect," alumni Ralph Malibunas and Gail Banawis, who, after impressing us with their chemistry in the iWantTFC original series “Teen Clash," went on to make us kilig with their appearance together on the red carpet. Gail’s playful persona reflected on her look for the night, as she’s adorned in an elegant “corseted lilac soft tulle draped dress with an enchanting skirt trail” from Sacha Sian Couture, topping it off with a fringed Y2K ponytail. Ralph, meanwhile, dares to put on an all-black suit with no shirt underneath.

With the theme ‘‘Forever Grateful’, ABS-CBN Ball 2023 is not just a night of glitz and glamour, but also of thanksgiving as the media company aims to extend its endless appreciation and gratitude to the staunch supporters, steadfast stalwarts, and unselfish partners and collaborators who have stuck by them unconditionally through the years. Besides, it also intends to raise funds for the benefit of the ABS-CBN Foundation.
