As this year’s edition of the ABS-CBN Ball bears the theme “Forever Grateful,” ent.ABS-CBN.com asked some of our gorgeous celebrity attendees how they’re going to express their endless gratitude without having to utter any word. And admirably, they come up with various charming and creative ways to say “thank you,” as seen in the snaps that we collated in this gallery.

Fractured” actor Jeremiah Lisbo, Dirty Linen lead star Janine Gutierrez, Pira-Pirasong Paraiso actor Joseph Marco, Maymay Entrata, and ultimate heartthrob Piolo Pascual are all grinning as they form a heart shape using their both hands.

Real-life couples Kaye Abad and Paul Jake Castillo, and Enzo Pineda and Michelle Vito, who both appeared in The Iron Heart, did the same by connecting their hands to form a heart. They may not have confirmed the real score between them, but we’re truly kilig when rumored flames Darren Espanto and Cassy Legaspi demonstrated the similar gesture.

We also felt how truly thankful popular content creator and host Mela Habijan is as she didn’t only do the same sign, but did a kissy face, too.

Meanwhile, “Unbreak My Heart” actor Joshua Garcia showed his love and gratitude the Gen Z way, which is by forming a heart using his two middle fingers and index fingers. Pira-Pirasong Paraiso stars and one of this generation’s well-loved reel-and-real-life sweethearts Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte did the same by linking their middle and index fingers to form a heart.

Mars Ravelo’s Darna star Jane de Leon, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo actress Ivana Alawi, It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu, 2 Good 2 Be True actress Alyssa Muchlach, and talented sexy actress Barbie Imperial, on the other hand, kept theirs cute and simple by brandishing finger hearts.

Aside from forming hearts through their hands, there were some who gave away flying kisses, just like comedian-director John “Sweet” Lapus, Jeremy G, and MJ Felipe.

Idol Philippines Season 2 grand winner Khimo Gumatay, who’s been in the industry for a year already after his victory, displayed his gratitude by putting his right hand on his left chest. Magandang Buhay momshie-host Jolina Magdangal, who’s been in the industry for decades already, did the same as well.

With all the wonderful and notable milestones that they’d received through the years, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo actress Susan Africa, Senior High actor Baron Geisler, and Edward Barber, who served as one of the red-carpet hosts that evening, expressed how thankful they are through the “prayer hands”, which they did by pressing their hands together and placing them in front in front of their chests.

With the theme ‘‘Forever Grateful’’, ABS-CBN Ball 2023 is not just a night of glitz and glamour, but also of thanksgiving as the media company aims to extend its endless appreciation and gratitude to the staunch supporters, steadfast stalwarts, and unselfish partners and collaborators who have stuck by them unconditionally through the years. Besides, it also intends to raise funds for the benefit of the ABS-CBN Foundation.
