KarJon comeback project? Hex-citing!

Yes, you’ve read that right! One of our favorite young Kapamilya loveteams KarJon (Karina Bautista and Aljon Mendoza) – is definitely getting back together as an onscreen pair as they topbill the upcoming ABS-CBN Entertainment Made For YouTube series “Hex Boyfriend.” But before we get to meet their newest characters Raya and Chris, let’s look back on the promising journey of their loveteam in this feature!

Avid fans surely know that it all began when both of them joined Pinoy Big Brother Otso in 2019, wherein Karina was dubbed as “Ang Miss Independent ng Isabela,” while Aljon was tagged “Ang Shy Charmer ng Pampanga.” The chemistry they exuded then was so palpable, which made their housemates and the viewers ship them so much.

As soon as both of them stepped out of the house, they were cast in the afternoon drama Sandugo as supporting characters Marco and Andeng, through which they’re able to immediately impress us with their acting chops.

It was succeeded by their headlining stint in the iWantTFC series “Ampalaya Chronicles Presents: Labyu Hehe” and in the YouTube interactive series “PILIkula: Ghost of the Past,” which showcased their prowess in romantic-comedy and romance-drama, respectively. Both were shown in 2020.

The following year, KarJon took part in the primetime series Viral Scandal, wherein they spread kilig and kulit vibes as Bea and Pogs. They did the same when they got cast in all the three seasons of the iWantTFC romcom series “Hoy, Love You,” which was broadcast from 2021 to 2022.

They also touched a lot of hearts and amazed viewers with their skills in doing heavy drama when they portrayed the inspiring lovestory of Maalaala Mo Kaya letter senders Theza Aliporo-Muni and John Muni in the “Lalabs Ko ‘To” episode.

And beginning October 20, we’re going to see them again together onscreen in the upcoming series “Hex Boyfriend,” which will be released at 6PM on ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel. It will feature the hextraordinary tale of their characters Raya, a mysterious girl who comes from a clan of witches, and Chris, the persevering son of a faith healer.

Joining them are seasoned thespians Anna Luna and Rafa Siguoun-Reyna, as well as their fellow PBB alumni Apey Obera, Batit Espiritu, Ashley del Mundo, and Angela Tungol.
