<p>One sign that a teleserye is made with world-class quality is when the actors go to extreme lengths to fully immerse into their characters. Case in point: Piolo Pascual learning the actual skills of a metal craftsman for his role as Jacob in the upcoming series <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/articles-news/piolo-and-lovi-unveil-flower-of-evil-official-poster-plus-discoveries-about-each-other-17351"><strong><u>“Flower of Evil.”</u></strong></a></p><div> </div><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="720" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/H7KdbYklEZU" title="Flower of Evil: Richard Buxani x Piolo Pascual" width="1280"></iframe></div><div> </div><p>If you watched the original version of Korea’s award-winning suspense drama “Flower of Evil,” you already have an idea that the male lead, Baek Hee-sung (Lee Joon-gi), works as a metal craftsman. Staying faithful to this part of the plot, Piolo had to undergo metal arts training with metal sculptor Richard Buxani, whose expertise includes steel, brass, copper, and stainless steel.</p><p>As we all know, metal sculpture involves hazardous materials and dangerous tools, thus, Richard took the actor’s safety very seriously. “Sinabi sa akin na i-wo-workshop ko si Piolo, medyo nakahinga ako nang kaunti. Kasi we’re talking about live fire and blue flame, so lagi kong iniisip safety, safety, safety para doon sa mga actors, para doon sa mga crew,” said Richard.</p><p>In the story, Piolo deceives his detective-wife, played by Lovi Poe, under a stolen identity. So, it just makes sense that his every move must appear convincing, and, as expected, he pulled it off.</p><p>“Actually, surprised nga ako kasi magaling humawak ng torch si Piolo. From the get go, unang pitik, solid agad. Tapos natitimpla niya ‘yung flame nang tama. Nakikita ko na very believable ‘yung nangyayari d’un,” shared Richard.</p><p>He also commended Piolo and the rest of the cast for the burning commitment to their roles, “I could just imagine kung ano ‘yung hirap na dinadaanan ng mga actors kasi bukod sa kailangan nilang i-acquire ‘yung skill, kailangan pa nilang gamitin ‘yung skill na ‘yun while acting.”</p><p>Here’s Richard’s promise: “Napakaganda ng kalalabasan ng TV series.” So, let the goosebumps-inducing trailer elevate your excitement:</p><div> </div><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="720" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hqVPlFiyrZM" title="Killer Weekend Drama Series | Flower of Evil" width="1280"></iframe></div><div> </div><p><a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/articles-news/piolo-and-lovi-unveil-flower-of-evil-official-poster-plus-discoveries-about-each-other-17351"><strong><u>“Flower of Evil”</u></strong></a> will be streamed every weekend starting June 23 and June 24 via streaming service platform Viu, and will air on <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/articles-news/kapamilya-channel-livestream-12685"><strong><u>Kapamilya Channel</u></strong></a> and A2Z beginning June 25 and June 26.</p><p>Also in the star-studded cast are Edu Manzano, Agot Isidro, Denise Laurel, Joem Bascon, JC De Vera, Rita Avila, Robert Sena, Epy Quizon, Jett Pangan, and more.</p>
