It’s a mega comeback for the Philippines’ Megastar Sharon Cuneta as ABS-CBN announced on Wednesday (July 3) that she is set to make her highly anticipated comeback in an upcoming Kapamilya series.

To celebrate the exciting news, Mega was greeted with a red carpet roll out in ABS-CBN by ABS-CBN COO Cory Vidanes and Entertainment Production head Laurenti Dyogi and Dreamscape Entertainment heads Kylie Manalo-Balagtas and Rondel Lindayag.

The Megastar shared that she is more than happy to return to acting and that she is always grateful to ABS-CBN for the opportunity. Although details about the project are yet to be announced, viewers can definitely look forward to another remarkable character portrayal from the one and only Megastar.

“Kaya po ako nandito kasi may bago akong sorpresa sa inyo. I wouldn’t say there’s more pressure. I would say there’s more desire. Who wants to be anywhere else but home?” said Sharon in a video released by ABS-CBN.

Megastar’s upcoming project marks her second ABS-CBN teleserye after making her Kapamilya teleserye debut in 2021 for “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.” As one of the most respected artists in the Philippines, her addition to the cast at that time was one of the most talked about news among Kapamilya viewers.

Watch out for the announcement of Megastar’s upcoming project.
