Ever since reel-and-real-life sweethearts Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla announced that they’re going to have a comeback project during their 10th anniversary celebration as a loveteam last year, their fans have been anticipating to finally see it.

In the previous months, ABS-CBN had been teasing us by introducing the cast members of 2 Good 2 Be True, releasing photos of KathNiel from their look test, dropping two teasers, and sharing the official poster – which truly amplified our excitement. And on Monday, April 18, the official full trailer is finally released, giving us a further glimpse on the exciting narrative of their characters Ali and Eloy.

Seemingly, it’s a case of hate at first sight for the two as they’re seen bickering every time they cross paths. As someone who believes that “honesty is the best policy” Ali is out to prove that Eloy has something to do with the robbery that happened in the hotel one night after seeing him there, too.

While Ali is apparently a hard worker as she juggles her side hustle with her day job as a medical professional, Eloy, on the other hand, is a fraudster who steals money from the rich people. But despite this, he’s still kind enough as he reminds his partners-in-crime to only get what they need, thus, he is called “mambubudol na may puso”.

Their paths once again intertwined when they literally bumped into each other at the facility where Ali is working. Ali was able to recognize because of his smell – to which she’s allergic of – and tried to chase him, but he was able to run away fast. She attempted to confront him anew, but that only resulted to their kilig bickering.

Joining KathNiel are veteran actors Gelli de Belen, Romnick Sarmenta, Irma Adlawan, Ronaldo Valdez, Cris Villanueva, and Smokey Manaloto. Also part of the ensemble are Matt Evans, Pamu Pamorada, Jenny Miller, Yves Flores, Kristel Fulgar, Alyssa Muhlach, Gillian Vicencio, and Bianca de Vera. It is directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar and is Kathryn and Daniel’s first TV project in five years after La Luna Sangre in 2017.
