It was in 2021 when real-and-reel-life sweethearts RK Bagatsing and Jane Oineza astonished us when they initially revealed their romance through a TikTok video, wherein they were seen kissing as they proceeded on taking on a dance challenge.

And now, they’re already in the second year of their relationship and are just getting sweeter and stronger than ever, as seen in their social media posts and media appearances together, such as their interview with Ogie Diaz recently on his YouTube channel.

While finding love and staying in relationships are deemed difficult and impossible in the ever-changing and complicated world of showbiz, Ogie implied his amazement at how their relationship is able to endure the pressure and challenges brought by the industry, considering that both of them are part of it and are among the brightest in the country.

According to Nag-aapoy na Damdamin lead actress, problems – just like in any relationship – are definitely inevitable. But for them, what’s most important is that they trust each other, as well as make sure that communication between them is constant and that they are each other’s safe space.

RK seconded her by saying, “Saka siyempre, kailangan mo i-accept na pareho kayo naggro-grow, parehas kayong hindi naman 100% kaagad, and work in progress kayo pareho. For myself, parang first time ko rin magkaroon ng relationship sa showbiz [kaya] parang natututo rin ako as we go along. Maraming lessons, maraming challenges, pero it’s parang as a team kami.”

Furthermore, they’re also completely open and honest with one another, as they encourage each other to be straightforward rather than knowing the truth from other people.

Since both of them have portrayed mature roles in their recent projects, it’s quite unavoidable for them to not have any intimate scenes onscreen. And being the professional actors that they are, they are both supportive of each other.

While others avoid watching the works of their partners so that they would not see the sizzling sexy scenes, RKane, or what their ardent shippers fondly call their tandem, actually do check out each other’s projects.

Jane confessed that she is the type who would even ask him to narrate to her in detail what he is about to do with his onscreen partner so that she already has an idea of what she is going to expect and wouldn’t create scenarios on her head anymore. On the contrary, RK is already contented to know that she’s going to do a sexy scene, without the need for her to tell him more about it. When it comes to doing intimate scenes with other actors or with one another on-screen, the couple imparted that always let go of all their inhibitions once they’re already on the set.

With regard to how their relationship blossomed, the two shared that their closeness started when they starred in the Kapamilya afternoon soap opera Precious Hearts Romances Presents Araw Gabi in 2018. Although their characters were paired in the series, they actually didn’t have anything romantic between them in real life since both of them were in different relationships then, until they caught up with one another a few years later.

From simply enjoying each other’s company during their dates, they eventually found themselves falling in love and making each other kilig through their sweet gestures, until they officially became a couple after being in a long courtship stage.

Just like any other couple, they also have their own share of misunderstandings and fights, which they think is normal since they’re constantly growing as individuals. And among their tampuhan is whenever Jane refuses to tell RK what disturbs her at a certain moment, even though there really is a problem.

Both of them confessed that they actually tend to get jealous, yet they have different ways of confronting and showing it. Jane is the type who gets really quiet as she needs to process her emotions first, while RK is the type who would want to fix things immediately. Thus, it’s always a struggle for them to meet halfway in order to avoid quarrels between them.

Ogie concluded their lighthearted and insightful conversation by having them express their promise to one another. Jane vowed to always be open and honest with him regardless of what they’re going through in life, as well as to be her “safe space” and “calm.s”

Meanwhile, RK stated, “Ako, sa hirap ng karera natin, ‘yong sa career mo, sa career ko, sa bawat araw na pinagdadaanan mo or natin individually, pangako ko sa’yo na kakampi mo ako lagi. At susuportahan kita sa lahat ng pagdadaanan mo.”

When quizzed if they already see themselves getting married to each other someday, Jane reiterated, “We’ll get there when we get there” and added, “I won’t be in a relationship with him naman kung hindi ko rin siya nakikita doon someday.” RK supported her by saying that they are taking things slowly and are currently focused on the blessings that the universe has been pouring out on them.

RKane also gave out advice to those who are relationship right now, reminding them to always choose each other through the good days and bad, as well as to not let a single misunderstanding or quarrel tear them apart.
