In an episode of “On Cue” with MJ Felipe, BINI Mikha Lim opened up about her life beyond the stage and her iconic red hair.

When asked about taking a break after a busy schedule, Mikha revealed her way of unwinding. “Ako ‘yung type na I wanna really explore and go around with my own time, so siyempre ang hirap with the schedule.” Despite the intense routine, Mikha finds her version of rest by embracing personal exploration, a refreshing break from the demands of her career.

Mikha’s striking red hair has become one of her trademarks, but it wasn’t always part of the plan. Before their “Karera” era, Mikha had always wanted to dye her hair red, but it took time to get approval. Red became her color of choice, and she now treasures it for its boldness and uniqueness. Maintaining it, however, comes with a few challenges. She doesn't wear white tops since it will become red, or pink. Despite the quirks, she acknowledges how her hair makes her stand out wherever she goes.

One of Mikha’s standout moments on stage was during the BINIverse concert, where she showcased her electric guitar skills. “I wanna show them something I’ve never done,” she said about the performance. Although it was her first time playing the instrument, Mikha powered through the challenge, revealing that the guitar she used during rehearsals wasn’t hers, making it a bit more difficult to master.

Her confidence on the guitar shines when she plays classics like "Can't Help Falling in Love" and "Leaving on a Jet Plane," songs she feels most at ease performing.

When the conversation shifted to Mikha’s growing popularity and the fact that many people have a crush on her, she candidly expressed her surprise. “Hindi ko ‘yun in-expect,” she admitted, explaining that her goal was always to show different sides of herself to her fans, beyond just her public persona.

Mikha also expressed how much she misses going out in public without being recognized. “It’s very hard. Siyempre hindi mo naman mapipigilan ‘yung tao,” she said, reflecting on how difficult it can be to walk around without attracting attention. Fame has changed her everyday life, and she admitted that she now interacts with others more cautiously to avoid misconceptions from those who don’t know her well.

From embracing new challenges like learning the electric guitar to balancing her time for family with the ‘pressures’ of fame, Mikha continues to evolve as both an artist and an individual. Through it all, she remains committed to showing her authentic self to her fans while navigating the complexities of life in the spotlight.
