In an interview with MJ Felipe on “On Cue,” BINI’s Maloi revealed insights into her personal style, dreams, and aspirations. Celebrated for her distinctive fashion sense and vibrant personality, Maloi quickly captured the audience’s attention and won their admiration.

Starting off with a fun question, MJ asked about Maloi’s glasses, which have become part of her signature look. Laughing, Maloi revealed, “They’re just for aesthetic purposes.”

Maloi credited stylist Ica Villanueva for helping her define her unique branding. Lately, Maloi has been experimenting by mixing her style with jerseys and streetwear. She loves dressing up because it gives her a sense of freedom, allowing her to wear what she wants without restrictions. A fan of thrift shopping, Maloi especially enjoys finding vintage pieces in the ukay-ukay shops of Cubao and Anonas.

MJ also touched on Maloi’s sensitive side, noting that among BINI members, she is known to be quite emotional. Maloi replied warmly, “Mana ’ko sa nanay ko!” She attributes her soft-hearted nature to her mother, saying, “Lagi kong iniisip kung ako ‘yung nasa posisyon nung isang tao.” This empathy is part of why she is so moved by the gifts and gestures from fans, no matter how small. Each gift feels deeply meaningful to her, a tangible expression of the love and support she receives.

When discussing how she handles the overwhelming support from fans, Maloi emphasized the importance of self-assurance and standing her ground.

Beyond music, Maloi also dreams of exploring acting. “I’ve always wanted to act po, as in! Like ’pag nanonood ako ng mga teleserye or K-drama, I feel like gusto ko rin gawin ‘yun! Parang kaya ko ring gawin ‘yun!” She expressed gratitude to Maki for casting her in his “Dilaw” music video, where she got to show a different side of herself. Yet, one of her ultimate dreams as an actress? “Gusto kong masampal ni Miss Maricel [Soriano]. Okay lang, it’s an honor na masampal ni Miss Maricel,” Maloi said with a laugh.

Her creative aspirations don’t stop there. Maloi also wants to hone her songwriting skills and dive deeper into digital arts and painting. She even plans to pursue a degree in Fine Arts or Multimedia Arts, eager to nurture her artistic side.

Finally, MJ asked Maloi how she stays grounded despite her success. Maloi’s answer was simple yet profound: “Yung attitude of gratitude. Maging grateful ka talaga kahit anong mangyari. Siguro ’yung reminders din ng parents ko ’pag nakikita ko sila, nakikita ko ’yung dati kong sarili. Dito ako nag-start, this is my home.”
