If there’s one person that Angelica Panganiban can look up to in raising her daughter, Amila Sabine, alongside husband Gregg Homan, it would be none other than her mom, Annabelle, whom she fondly calls Mama Ebela.

Through her stories and unmistakable affection for Angelica, Mama Ebela demonstrates that being a mother is the best job in the world. And, the only reward a mother wants is to see her child grow happily surrounded by love. This was evident in Angelica's latest vlog episode featuring her doting mom.

In her recent vlog, "A Day With Mama Ebela," Angelica took her mom to a retail store in Subic where she and Gregg are currently based. She challenged her to grab and shop for anything within just 15 minutes. It served as a fun bonding moment for the mom-daughter duo, and also a great time for us viewers to get a glimpse of their dynamic.

Mama Ebela showcased her humor by attempting to cheat, strolling around the shopping place first to scout the aisles, so she could minimize time wasted looking around the place. “Kuya, lagay mo na habang hindi pa start ‘yung oras,” she jokingly asked the sales staff to add an item to her cart. She was hesitant at first, considering the added pressure from the timer. Her first destination – the aisle with processed canned pork products, which she had already surveyed earlier. Although her daughter granted her permission to pick any item she wanted, Mama Ebela displayed her ‘momshie’ wisdom by checking prices and only selecting what she believed she could consume.

After selecting canned food products and juices, she proceeded to the toiletry aisles. "Hinihingal ako," she complained while heading to the pantry items section next.

"Tama na 'yan, nahihiya na ako kay Angel," she thought. We admire Mama Ebela's simplicity and how she refrains from taking advantage of others, even though she's aware that Angelica can afford anything she chooses.

Angelica allowed her mom additional time to pick more canned fruit items, which they’d likely use in making fruit salad on Mama Ebela’s birthday on February 3. The adorable mommy needed more time to get her favorite biscuits but insisted she wouldn't ask Angelica to pay for the additional items.

In the vlog's second part, they were joined by Gregg and some friends, including Alora Sasam, for lunch. The group raised a toast to celebrate the newlyweds, Angelica and Greg.

When asked for her marriage advice, Mama Ebela addressed Greg, “Mahalin mo ‘yung anak ko pati si Amila. Huwag mong iiwan.” She jestingly added, “’Pag iniwan mo, lagot ka sa akin.”

“Mahalin mo talaga si Angel kasi mahal na mahal ko ito,” she embraced Angelica, whose smiles radiated pure bliss and contentment. Then, she turned to Angelica for a sincere talk, “Umayos ka din. Hindi porke’t mahal na mahal ka ni Greg... huwag kang masungit. Huwag kang madaling mainis. At saka huwag kang, ‘yung minsan nagpapa-prangka kasi minsan hindi mo napapansin napapahiya ‘yung tao.”

Angelica teased that her mom advises like a love expert despite not having a husband. This led her to reflect that single individuals are often wiser when offering relationship advice.

Mama Ebela got sentimental, reminiscing about the moments from Angelica's wedding – one of her dreams for her daughter. She’s happy that all her dreams for Angelica have been fulfilled, except for one: providing her a building property, a dream that she now entrusts to Gregg.

Mama Ebela finds complete contentment in seeing Angelica settled down, knowing she has done a great job in giving her a happy life.
