Ambition is a double-edged sword. It can either empower or be deadly enough to destroy others and even yourself. In the case of Ellen (Ara Mina), her dream to become the most influential woman in the country rotted her soul and led to her own demise. Bold and desperate, Ellen made drastic moves en route to power. She had big fantasies about sitting on the throne as First Lady. But her husband Art (Tirso Cruz III) had other priorities than presidency. Besides, he didn’t want to clash against Lily (Lorna Tolentino).

While Art was content being just a puppet to someone more powerful, Ellen had more towering ambitions. She found an easier way by having an affair with Mariano (Rowell Santiago). She felt luck was on her side when she learned about his act.

Now she’s the one luring Mariano, the fake president, and wanting to wrap him around her little finger. She pulled strings with everyone, keeping up with the evil trio Lily, Art, and Renato (John Arcilla)’s schemes. At one point, she betrayed her own spouse by conniving with Renato. And the game plan was let Renato control Mariano’s image while Ellen tames the fake president by using her body as bait.

But karma was watching the whole time. Ellen and Mariano’s relationship lost its steam, thanks to Cassandra (Maika Rivera), the secretary, and Lily’s spawn, who completely bewitched the imposter.

Keeping her eyes peeled for the throne, Ellen went as far as giving Mariano a child. But nothing could ever bring back his promises. She messed up her own game. She’s beaten up by the man who promised her the world. And even if she wanted to leave her heaven that turned into hell, it was too late to escape.

She and Cassandra joined forces against the abusive Mariano. However, fate would punish than redeem the two women. They both ended up trapped in that vicious world. Ellen, along with Mariano, was abducted by Cardo (Coco Martin)’s Task Force Agila and Armando (John Estrada)’s group in a crossfire at Don Ignacio (Tommy Abuel)’s exhibit. In her attempt to escape, Ellen was shot dead by Lolita (Rosanna Roces).

Now Ellen is gone bringing with her in the afterlife a failed ambition, and a baby in her womb.
