As a cop and team captain for many years, Cardo (Coco Martin) has already developed a strong spirit of solidarity. He shows strong allegiance to brotherhood. He fights not just for himself but for the comrade next to him. In this Kapamilya Toplist, we rounded up scenes of Cardo saving his teammates in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

Task Force Agila’s recent fight proved their kinship when Cardo went back to the battlefield to save Ramil aka Manager (Michael de Mesa). But it wasn’t the first time. Back in prison, when Cardo was wrongfully accused, he saved Ramil from trouble even if he’d be punished for it.

Going back to his SAF trainings, he established a solid friendship with Trina (Louise delos Reyes) and Gerry (Ejay Lopez), both of whom fell in the hands of the Pulang Araw’s wicked faction led by Alakdan (Jhong Hilario). Disguised as Fernan and a newly converted Pulang Araw member for mission’s sake, Cardo made a way to help Trina and Gerry escape despite the possibility of exposing his real identity.

The Pulang Araw experienced Cardo’s heroism a lot of times. When he saw them in need of rescue, Cardo didn’t hesitate to take the wounded Lawin/Amang (Dante Rivero)’s gun and fired at the enemies. The other Pulang Araw members were in awe of his smooth shooting skills, more so with his sense of brotherhood.

Soon he formed a partnership with Pulang Araw then-headed by Romulo (Lito Lapid), who was arrested by the authorities at one point. Along with his remaining friends from prison and the remnants of the rebel group, he founded the vigilante group “Vendetta.” In the ‘saving’ scene, Cardo drives his motorcycle inside the hospital where Romulo is detained, then, the latter back rides. With no exit in sight, Cardo drives through the window from the second floor while their allies wait outside.

In a separate fight of the Vendetta, Cardo saved the amateurish Bruno (Janno Gibbs) from a bullet. The crossfire was interspersed with a scene of Bruno’s sister Regine (Angeline Quinto) praying for their safety.

Cardo proved he’s no ordinary cop by saving the country’s highest-ranking officials including Diana (Angel Aquino), then-head of the National Defense Agency. In the scene, Diana and Cardo were supposed to meet in a bridge but the former was cornered by the treacherous NDA officer Manolo (Sid Lucero). To escape, she jumped from the bridge to the river below. As soon as the enemies left, Cardo, hiding in his vehicle, searched for Diana and brought her to Vendetta’s hiding place. She was revived by Romulo, who would later on become her husband.

Another big heroic act of Cardo is saving President Oscar (Rowell Santiago). The first family was ambushed by Lucas (Edu Manzano)’s henchmen. Cardo witnessed the incident and dashed toward the victims’ vehicle and, much to his shock, saw the President and his family. When President Oscar showed signs of life, Cardo brought him to Vendetta’s hideout by riding only his motorcycle.

Another momentous scene witnessed Cardo saving Lolo Delfin (Jaime Fabregas) from prison and death. Terante (Soliman Cruz)’s henchmen were alerted by the arrival of Cardo’s group, so they decided to just end Lolo Delfin’s life. The General closed his eyes to accept his fate but his grandson Cardo arrived on time.

Just recently, Cardo proved how much he values his men by saving Ramil despite the danger. In the scene, Ramil was cornered by Lito (Richard Gutierrez) and Albert (Geoff Eigenmann)’s groups while the Task Force Agila and the famers-turned-assassins escaped. When Cardo learned that Ramil was left, he ordered Samuel (Michael Flores) to drive back. Just as when Ramil was ready to surrender, Cardo showed up standing on the vehicle’s roof track and provoked the enemies. Amid the crossfire, he run toward Ramil and gave him assurance of their friendship by a simple gesture, then asked the others to carry Ramil to the vehicle.

No matter the situation, even if he sacrifices his own life, Cardo will never leave his comrades behind. Follow his journey in the long-running action-drama series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
