Former Goin’ Bulilit stars Mika Dela Cruz and Nash Aguas recalled the time when they chose to end their relationship but eventually found their way back to each other.

In a video Mika posted on her social media page, the actress shared some conversations she and Nash had as they ended their relationship on August 31, last year.

“What we thought was the scariest and hardest thing we’ve ever had to do (letting go, surrendering & obeying) turned out to be the best decision we’ve ever made,” she said.

In the conversation, Mika and Nash had kind words for one another.

“Nget (Nash), i have no words,” Mika said in a message. “Thank you for everything & I will always love you, my panget.. Take care of yourself pls be home safely (broken heart emoji, pleading emoji, sunflower emoji).”

“I’m sorry.. Sa lahat lahat ng pagkukulang ko. I wish I could’ve been a better partner and person while our time was still there,” she added.

“You were wonderful ngetchi (Mika),” Nash replied. “Ako rin sana one day makabisita ako sa family mo. Mahal na mahal ko kayo ni tita. And I’m sorry… for everything.”

At first, the couple thought that it was already the end of their relationship. However, three months later, they both had received the prayers they had been asking for.

“January 4, 2024

Still broken up and without knowing what was happening to the other, we both got our separate confirmations from the Holy Spirit. Nash proposed. We obeyed & Got engaged (ring emoji, mind-blown emoji),” she captioned.

“I love you so much (pleading face emoji) i can’t believe pa din what happened tonight,” Mika said in their conversation. “I can't wait to get married to you… you are not only a man of God but the man God made intentionally for me. (loved emoji) I’m so happy it’s still you.”

“Still can’t believe this is happening. God made us both for each to fulfill His purpose. I’m so happy that I get to walk the path He had set for me and see it emerge with yours,” Nash stated.

Mika then showed a glimpse of their married life together with their fur baby, Nami.

“Hopefully our marriage reminds you today that anything is possible when you live a life fully surrendered to JESUS,” she said.

“Surrendering all aspects of our lives & dying to our flesh is definitely hard and painful at first but TRUST in the process because knowing him is so worth it ✨,” she added.

On May 18, Nash and Mika exchanged their vows as husband and wife in an intimate ceremony.

“To you my love, I will not promise all the things of the world for we will leave it here. I will not promise riches for they will fade but I promise you this—I will promise you joy even through suffering. I will promise you peace in all circumstances and I promise to always point you back to Him whenever it seems so hard. And, I promise to love you even [when] you don't anymore because that's how He loves me and I love you,” Nash declared in his wedding vows.

Mika responded with heartfelt words, praising Nash’s leadership and recalling cherished memories: “Ang galing mo nga kasi hindi pa tayo Mr. and Mrs. noon but you are already leading me. Kaya I'm sure you will be the best leader to our future family, future kids.”

In an interview with Bernadette Sembrano, the couple shared how they got engaged after they went through a rough patch in their six years of being in a relationship.

"Nagpunta ako sa kanya without a ring, I have my Bible with me 'yun lang. In-explain ko sa kanya everything you know last year when I was parang may wall ito 'yung mga verses na nabasa ko up to the point na nung ni-reveal sa akin 'Do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife,' sabi 'rejoice in the wife of your youth' tapos 'yun na," Nash shared.

Mika recounted: "Nag-propose siya January 4. Nandoon lang kami sa living room, ako nakapambahay lang, tapos dala niya yung iPad niya nag-propose siya with the word of God."
