AJ Raval recently opened up about her life and career during an interview with Julius Babao, which was shared on Julius Babao’s YouTube channel. 

The actress, known for her roles in VivaMax films, discussed her shift away from the limelight, her focus on self-improvement, and her future plans.

AJ, who has been less active in the showbiz scene lately, revealed that she is not completely stepping away from her career. “Actually, kakagaling ko lang sa Viva, marami na rin kaming plans this year,” she shared, emphasizing that while she may have been out of the public eye, she has been busy with other pursuits. 

One of her major achievements during this break was completing her high school education, a milestone she is proud of. "Nagfofocus ako ngayon sa self-improvement. Parang gusto ko gamitin yung career ko, yung influence ko in a good way," she added, highlighting her desire to use her platform to inspire others.

When asked about her past as a "sexy star," AJ made it clear that she no longer wants to be associated with that image. "Madaming nakakilala sakin bilang ‘sexy star,’ ang gusto kong ipromote sa sarili ko is yung change. Lahat ng tao kayang magbago," she explained. 

She emphasized that her goal is to show that people can evolve and improve. “Hindi kasi pwedeng wala kang goal... dapat may goal ka, pakita mo sa mga tao na maayos ka,” she stressed, underscoring the importance of growth and purpose in her career.

AJ reflected on her journey in the entertainment industry, acknowledging the support she received from her management but admitting that the sexy roles she was known for were not truly fulfilling for her. "Madami eh, pero don’t get me wrong. Syempre love ko yung mga boss ko... Pero hindi kasi para sa akin talaga," she said. 

Growing up in a conservative family, AJ realized that she had strayed from her true self. “Lumalaki kasi tayo, sa totoo lang, nakakalimutan natin kung sino tayo,” she remarked, adding that she now feels a stronger connection to her roots.

AJ also addressed the rumors and criticisms she faced, particularly those surrounding her relationship with Aljur Abrenica. 

She clarified the real story behind their relationship, stating, "Yung totoo non, hiwalay na talaga sila ng ilang-may one year na rin ata. Nakasama ko si Aljur sa shooting, technically, single siya. But siyempre hindi iniisip ng mga tao na single siya kasi married. Pero single talaga siya non. Tapos nagkakilala kami dun, dun na nagstart yung ligawan." 

AJ further revealed that there was even a video call with Aljur’s ex-wife during that time, which was cordial. “Kinausap niya yung parents ko and then that time may time na may video call niya yung [ex]wife niya and okay naman. Parang ‘Hi, pasensya ka na,’” she shared, highlighting the transparency in their relationship.

She also expressed her frustration at how her family was dragged into the controversy. “Yung pinakamasakit na sinabi sakin pati yung family ko yung nadamay,” she shared.

As for the persistent rumors about her being pregnant, AJ responded with humor and grace. "First of all, hindi po ako taon-taon buntis," she quipped, the light-hearted response reflected her resilience and determination to rise above the gossip.. "Siguro po kung mabubuntis ako ngayon, magalit man yung maraming tao, ako parin po yung pinakamasayang tao sa buong mundo."

AJ conveyed her commitment to personal growth and using her influence positively, marking a new chapter in her life and career. She reiterated her dedication to being a positive role model.“Gusto kong gayahin nila yung paano ka, improvement mo, health, exercise, work out, quality time sa family,” she said.
