Netflix has released the teaser for the second season of Gyeongseong Creature.

"Is this the season for a Chae-ok and Master Jang reunion? The fight continues in Gyeongseong Creature Season 2, arriving September 27 🌸," the streaming giant announced.

The second season will star Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee who previously headlined the first season. This time, Seo-joon will play the character of Ho-jae while So-hee will resume playing the role of Chae-ok.

According to a press release by Netflix, the second season "now takes viewers on a journey to 2024 Seoul."

"This season uncovers the never-ending ties of fate — both good and bad — that weaves through time. Ho-jae, a man deceptively similar to Tae-sang, and Chae-ok, a survivor of the Gyeongseong spring, navigate these complex relationships in the modern era," the streaming giant unveiled.  

The second season will also showcase new characters including Kuroko Leader which will be played by Lee Mu-saeng and Seung-jo which will be portrayed by Bae Hyeon-seong.

As per Netflix, Kuroko Leader, who heads the Kurokos—an elite team of operatives executing covert missions—hatches a dark scheme within the labs of Jeonseung Biotech. Seung-jo's pursuit of Ho-jae and Chae-ok escalates the tension, delivering intense action amid the unfolding mystery.

Fans online were quick to express their excitement about the show's second season.

The first season of Gyeongseong Creature premiered on Netflix on December 22, 2023. 

In a previous interview with ABS-CBN News, Seo-joon shared that saying yes to the project had been an easy decision for him because of the cast and director.

"When I was in Itaewon Class, director Jung’s (Dong-yoon) work was also airing, Hot Stove League, so I wanted to meet with him. And we have So-hee playing Chae-ok in the show so it’s just a no-brainer for me because it’s just going to be really fun," the actor said.
