Despite their eight years of age difference, celebrity couple RK Bagatsing and Jane Oineza highlighted that their age gap has never been an issue in their relationship.

"It's kind of off to say, 'I'm older than you, I know better,' parang no. So dun din pumapasok 'yung communication na it's getting to know na okay nasaan ka ba sa point ng buhay mo right now? Where are you at? And doon tayo mag-start, no matter what age ako o what age ka," RK said in an interview with Bianca Gonzalez in the TFC show BRGY.

The actor highlighted that age does not matter if a couple are on the same page in the relationship.

"If you're going in the same direction or same goals in life, I think you can disregard that number and just be together," he said.

Jane pointed out that one's wisdom when it comes to life is also not solely dependent on one's age.

"Hindi lang nasa age 'yung experiences in life or I guess 'yung knowledge natin or 'yung sensibility as a perso. Parang hindi lang 'yun lahat naba-base lahat sa age," she explained. 

The couple was also asked how they protect their private lives especially that they are a couple in the public eye.

"Kasi sobra rin kaming home buddies, like private talaga kami individually so I think kaya nahahawa 'yung as a couple din namin na private din," Jane shared.

RK pointed out that outside of show business, they are just really a simple couple. "To be honest, outside the work that we do, sobrang simple lang namin. Parang we don't get to share so many interesting things," he said.

In the same interview, the couple also discussed why they were not entertaining the idea of marriage yet.

"Personally, alam ko lahat 'yung pinagtrabahuan niya, the things that she went through sa career niya just to arrive at this point na sunod-sunod 'yung projects niya, sobrang dami. So who am I to just [say], 'Teka hold muna natin yan, punta muna tayo dito,'" RK explained.

The actor went on: "And it does not change anything from us. We love each other, we enjoy each other's company, we get to do everything na gusto naming gawin, so parang naka-park muna 'yung idea na 'yun and thought na 'yun because really, minsan lang 'yung career sa amin and we are focusing on that first, especially her."

Jane remarked that she believes that they will get there soon. For now, their careers are their main focus.

"I'm really happy sa tinatahak ng career niya ngayon, sa mga projects na nakukuha niya and parang we will get there rin naman, and ngayon we just really want to focus on our career together, and also individually. And we'll get there, parang no pressure," she said.

The couple recently headlined the family drama movie Love Child.

They shared that they gained a lot of insights about starting a family from the film.

"Mas meron kang mas deeper understanding of starting a family so somehow we used that to our knowledge na okay what do we need to do? We learned so much from the material and from other people's experience," RK shared.

Jane remarked that after doing the movie, she realized more that she needed to focus on checking off her personal goals first before jumping into a new phase in life.

"Kaya before [starting a family], we just want to check muna our personal goals and 'yung mga bucket lists. Kasi parang for me to be comfortable getting married, starting a family, I need to be ma-close off ko muna 'yung mga what ifs ko, 'yung mga goals ko," she stated.
