Rewind actor Dingdong Dantes had a simple but sweet birthday celebration with his family as he turned 44 on Friday, August 2.

On his personal social media account, Dingdong shared a breakfast celebration his wife, actress Marian Rivera, prepared as his special request for his birthday.

“She (Marian) asked me what I wanted for today, and I just requested this quiet breakfast with them — something I haven’t been able to do the past few weeks because of continuous work,” Dingdong penned.

He went on: “And yeah, it was just how I imagined it to be: calm, serene, and full of love. Thank you, my wife and kids, for the perfect start to #AgostoDos.”

In the carousel of photos, the happy family of four were at a table where Dingdong blew his birthday cake.

Their children, Zia and Sixto, also had fun eating their father’s birthday breakfast.

“😍😍😍 Love you!” Marian replied in the comment section. 

The actress also posted a selfie photo of herself, Dingdong and their youngest son.

“Happy birthday dada we love you!” Marian said in her posted Instagram story.

Celebrity friends such as Carla Abellena, Pauleen Luna, Thou Reyes, Patricia Javier, Alfred Vargas, Rodjun Cruz, Julie Anne San Jose, Gio Alvarez, Dominic Roque, and Gabbi Garcia were among those who expressed their greetings to the actor in the comment section.

“Happy Birthday Mamen🤘🏽,” actor and noontime show host Ryan Agoncillo said.

“Happiest Birthday @dongdantes ❤️ You deserve all the blessings kasi di ka pinagbago ng panahon 😍 Stay humble as you are direk :),” Pamilya Sagrado actress Aiko Melendez remarked.

Actor Wendell Ramos also posted a separate birthday greeting for Dingdong along with their photos together.

“cheers to another great year and life! more blessings tol @dongdantes happy birthday! 🙏🏻🎂💕 #allglorytogod,” he said.

Dingdong then replied, “Maraming salamat, Kumpare! 🙏🏼.”

Kim Atienza also greeted him in a post, saying, “The most grounded superstar, my kumpare and dear brother @dongdantes , enjoy your successes and all the perks that come with it! You are blessed because you are a blessing to all you meet. Happy Birthday my dearest Kumpare!”

“Maraming salamat, Kumpare! I appreciate you. Please send my love to your whole family,” Dingdong said.

Before his birthday, Dingdong recently received the award for Movie Actor of the Year at the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) for his blockbuster film Rewind. He was tied with Alden Richards for the same award.

“Bilang isang aktor, malinaw po sa amin na kami po ang nagiging instrumento ng mga gustong sabihin ng mga filmmakers, madalas ng lipunan,” Dingdong said.

“At iyon ay na lahat ng bagay dito sa mundo, temporary lang. Talagang kahit anong gawin natin, akala natin tayo ay in control of everything, ang katunayan noon ay hindi: dahil Siya lang talaga ang may control ng lahat. Gaya nga ng sinasabi sa akin ng aking tatay: everything comes from the Lord,” he added.

He also just finished shooting his film with director Irene Villamor and FPJ’s Batang Quiapo star Charo Santos.
