“Sobrang happy kami kasi sobrang light ka-work nila kuya Justin, kuya Stell, and kuya Josh (other members of SB19). Lahat sila very comfortable na makasama kami. Tapos very kuya sila pag kausap namin sila and yung mga advice nila. (laughs) Nakikita namin sa kanila yung pagiigng humble. Pinapansin nila lahat talaga. Lahat kinakmusta nila and hindi mo makikita sa kanila na nagmamataas sila, which is isa sa linu-look up to namin na ginagawa nila,” Alfea shared during the G22 presscon held last August 5.

“Pag nakasama namin sila, we never see them slack. Yung makikita mo na hindi rason yung sobrang pagod. Hindi rason yung madaming ginagawa. Meron pa ring ngiti, meron pa ring kulit, and yun yung isa sa mga talagang natutunan namin. Na you owe it to your fans, you owe it sa mga taong sumusuporta sayo yung ibigay yung energy mo kasi yun yung energy na binibigay nila sayo,” AJ explained.

The group’s Fil-Australian member Jaz stressed how G22 is also about advocating for women empowerment through their music. “To be a powerful woman is to empower others to be powerful women, to have influence positively, make people smile, make people confident, and to be themselves, whether that’s a feminine or masculine or however they identify as a divine human being. That’s what a powerful woman is,” she added.

“May isang line sa song namin na ‘Boomerang’ na ‘This is not a competition but a revolution’ P-pop is a revolution and not a competition kasi iisa lang naman tayo ng goal na umangat at P-pop. And kung competition man, it’s a friendly competition na walang dina-drag pababa sa isa’t isa,” she admitted.

“Since I was underage, they’ve been asking me to train pero I’m really passionate about music and what we’re doing here. And that’s my main priority so let’s go to the end (of this) muna (laughs). We want to inspire, not only our audience but each other. We get inspired by other P-pop groups. By their success, their amazing capabilities, their music and their releases. So it’s great to be a part of this small community that’s growing and making waves,” she added.
