New stills of Korean actor Park Bo-gum as an Olympic athlete for an upcoming series has been released by JTBC.

In a report by Naver as translated by Soompi, Bo-gum will play the role of an Olympic gold medalist and a boxer in the new drama Good Boy.

Good Boy is a thrilling comic drama that tells the story of a group of Olympic medalists who transition into special police officers after grappling with financial hardships, short-lived careers, and injuries.

Banding together as the "Olympics Avengers," they leverage the specialized skills they honed as athletes to combat violent crime.

Bo-gum will pay the role of South Korea’s national boxer Yoon Dong-joo,  a former Olympic gold medalist. After his athletic career, Yoon Dong-joo joins the Special Violent Crime Unit through a special program for Olympic athletes.

Naturally gifted in combat, he once rose to fame as an Olympic champion. After some challenging times, he becomes a cop and uses his fighting skills again to stand up against injustice.

Aside from Bo-gum, the series will also star Kim So-Hyun who will take on the role of Ji Han-na, a former Olympic gold medalist famously known as the "shooting goddess."

After a life-changing event forces her to abandon her shooting career, Han-na chooses to become a police officer. While she might appear cool and composed on the surface, she’s refreshingly honest and direct when it comes to expressing her feelings, whether at work or in matters of the heart.

Other cast members include Lee Sang Yi, Heo Sung Tae, and Tae Won Suk.

"Please look forward to the synergy between actors Park Bo-Gum and Kim So-Hyun, who will sincerely portray the story of heroes who face off against violence, each with their own backstories," the production team behind Good Boy said in a statement back in July.
