BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook star in new travel reality show ‘Are you sure?!’

BTS fans have something new to look forward to as members Jimin and Jungkook star in the upcoming reality series Are You Sure?!, set for release on August 8.

This eight-episode series showcases their friendship and love for travel, giving viewers a unique glimpse into their lives outside the spotlight.

The show follows Jimin and Jungkook as they explore various destinations, including New York and Connecticut in the US, Jeju Island in South Korea, and Sapporo in Japan. According to a press statement from Disney+, the series is filled with “countless stories and laugh-out-loud moments,” as the two enjoy activities like shopping, eating, road trips, and even canoeing.

Filming for Are You Sure?! was completed prior to the mandatory military enlistment of Jimin and Jungkook in December 2023. They are expected to be discharged in June 2025. The series offers fans a chance to see a different side of the idols during their travels and interactions.

Jimin, who debuted as BTS’s main dancer and lead vocalist, began his solo career in March 2023 with his album Face. His second album, Muse, is set to be released on July 19, 2024.

Meanwhile, Jungkook, the group’s center, main vocalist, and lead dancer, launched his solo career in July 2023 with the hit single "Seven," and followed up with his first studio album four months later.

The series will premiere with two episodes on August 8, with new episodes airing every Thursday until September 19.

This release adds to Disney+’s growing library of BTS content, which includes BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star, a docu-series about the band’s ten-year career, and the concert film BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage – LA. Additionally, the platform features documentaries on BTS members, Suga’s Road To D-Day and J-Hope’s J-hope IN THE BOX.

Since their debut in 2013, BTS has achieved global success, bringing K-pop into mainstream popularity in the US and topping charts worldwide.
