Actress Ruffa Gutierrez’s ex-husband, Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas, extended his condolences to the Gutierrez family, who are mourning the loss of Elvis Gutierrez’s wife, Alexa.

In a reposted Instagram story, Yilmaz wrote his sentiments towards the family of his two daughters with Ruffa.

“As the Bektas family, we share the pain of the loss of the Gutierrez family. As the Bektas family, we offer our condolences to the Guterrez family. - Yilmaz Bektas,” the Turkish businessman penned.

He also shared on his Instagram story a photo of Alexa and her kids, Aria and Ezra, saying, “May your soul rest in peace, I Wish the place you go to is better than the place you left,” he said.

Alexa, a former model and an entrepreneur, passed away on July 27 after her more than half-a-year battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the age of 38.

Her sister-in-law, Ruffa, announced the sad news on her Instagram account.

“I am still trying to process and accept that you are no longer with us. 💔 It’s so hard… 😭 Words cannot express how heartbroken and shocked I am,” she wrote.

Ruffa's daughters, Lorin and Venice, also took to social media their messages for their “Tita Lex”.

“My dearest Tita Lex, nothing could have prepared me for how much I’ll miss you. It has been a privilege to have known you and been loved by you. I will pray every day that you are resting easy, I will pray for the kids and Tito Elvis, and I will make sure to be the best ate to your girls,” Venice wrote, along with photos of her late aunt and their family. 

“Your passing has left a hole in this family that nothing will be able to fill. I am so grateful for all the memories we’ve shared,” she added.

Lorin also shared her love for her late aunt and how hard it was to bid farewell to her.

“you have been a consistent supporter, confidante, mentor, and auntie and i never wanted to know a world without you. you are so easy to love, which made saying goodbye to you the hardest thing i have ever been through. i missed you the second you left,” she expressed.

“i have so much i want to say, but no words can encompass how massive of a loss this is for anyone who knew your beautiful spirit. i will do my best to continue making you proud, and thank you for being there for me every step of the way. i love you i love you i love you so much,” she added.

Meanwhile, Alexa’s husband, Elvis, recalled his memories his wife in a post he shared on his Instagram account.

“You were 19 I was 22, this was the first day you learned how to drive. I wanted to capture how happy you were. You called me the best driving teacher. I miss you so much @alexaugutz,” he said alongside a photo of his late wife.

Several celebrities also expressed their sympathies for the widower.

“Praying for you and your family. So sorry for your loss Elvis 💔🤍,” actress and celebrity mom Solenn Heussaff said.

Actress CJ Jaravata also commented, “We’re all here for you , the kids and your entire family, Vis. Big tight hug! Praying for you and your entire family during this difficult time.🙏.”

As per an announcement posted by Alexa’s family, her remains lie in state at Capilla De La Virgen at Santuario De San Antonio in Forbes Park in Makati. Inurnment will be on August 1.
