Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres are proud parents as their daughter Juliana Gomez graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman on Sunday, July 28.

Richard took to social media to pen a message for Juliana following her scholastic feat.

"I vividly remember your first day in school as a young child. I drove you to your school near the house, you were in a white shirt and jeans in rubber shoes," he recalled.

'"Look at you now all grown up and a college graduate in Public Administration at the UP Diliman and a Cum Laude."

The actor and congressman admitted that he and Lucy became emotional during their daughter's graduation ceremony.

"Congratulations ‘day! Mom and I are so proud of you. Mom was in tears going up the stage. My eyes were in tears too when I went back to my seat as things sank into my head and realized how time flies so fast," he shared.

Richard added: "Go on and make things better and beautiful."

Fans online were quick to extend their congratulatory messages.

"Congratulations Juliana and the proud parents 👏❤️," one fan wrote.

"Congratulations Juliana, bright and beautiful," another fan posted.

Back in March, Juliana also achieved a massive feat that time in sports when she won gold for UP at the UAAP Women’s Fencing competition.

"Right in the middle of what I used to pray for. God is so good ❤️‍🔥🏆," she posted on her Instagram following her win.

In 2023, Juliana also won gold medal at the fencing event.

"[Winning more medals for UP] is my priority right now, especially since UP has given me so much. I am so incredibly lucky, so the least I can do is win the gold medals, repay that with hardware," she said in an interview with The GAME in 2023.

On what she aspires to achieve as a fencing athlete, Juliana relayed: "My biggest goal would be becoming an Olympian to represent the Philippines on the Olympic stage."

She shared that she was planning to qualify for the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand. The qualifying tournament will begin this year.

"I want to be part of the national team. I want to be able to represent my country in the SEA Games, in the Asian Games. I think these are attainable goals," she said.
