BLACKPINK is set to embark on a world tour in 2025.

"There will be a highly anticipated comeback from BLACKPINK [next year]. It will also be the year BLACKPINK starts their world tour," YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk announced in a video posted on the company's YouTube channel on Sunday, July 21.

BLACKPINK is set to celebrate their debut anniversary in August this year.

The girl group recently announced on Weverse that they are set to spend time with their fans at a fan sign event in August to celebrate their 8th debut anniversary.

"88 participants who best express their love for BLACKPINK through fan letters, drawings, photos, or stories about their precious memories with BLACKPINK will be invited to the fan signing event," the group relayed.

The girl group is also set to release their concert film Blackpink World Tour [Born Pink] In Cinemas on August 31 in time for their anniversary. The movie will be released in more than 110 countries.

Composed of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, it can be recalled that the BLACKPINK members renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment for their group activities in December of last year.

"I am happy to maintain our relationship with BLACKPINK. We will do our utmost to help BLACKPINK shine even brighter in the global music market," Hyun-suk said in a previous announcement.

Meanwhile, the members did not renew their contracts for solo activities with the agency.

"We have agreed not to extend our contracts regarding individual activities [with BLACKPINK members]," YG previously said as reported by The Korea Times.

The agency added: "We will continue to give BLACKPINK our full support and sincerely cheer for their individual activities."

Three of the group's members established their agencies to handle their solo activities.

Jennie launched her agency ODDATELIER in December 2023. 

"I'm also excited about what's to come, as I start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA. Please show lots of love for my new start with OA and, of course, BLACKPINK. Thank you," Jennie said upon launching her company.

Lisa etablished her agency LLOUD in February this year. 

"Introducing LLOUD, a platform to showcase my vision in music and entertainment. Join me on this exciting journey to push through new boundaries together," the singer previously posted.

Jisoo also launched her agency BLISSOO on the same month. 

"I’m excited to share my new start with BLISSOO. Stay tuned for what’s to come, as I’m dedicated to bringing joy and happiness to each and every one of you. Please continue to shower your love and support for Jisoo with BLISSOO, and also for BLACKPINK. Thank you," Jisoo wrote.  

Meanwhile, Rosé signed with The Black Label to manage her solo activities.

Aside from the announcement of BLACKPINK's comeback next year, Hyun-suk also disclosed on Sunday that BABYMONSTER and TREASURE will also go on their respective world tours in 2025..

The YG executive also relayed that YG's new K-Pop group will be launched next year. "Our so-called NEXT MONSTER is also currently waiting in the wings so I'd like to introduce them to fans as well."

"We are working hard so that many YG artists can meet with many fans," he added.

One of the biggest announcements that Hyun-suk also made on Sunday was that 2NE1 is set to reunite and return on stage for a world tour.

"It will start early October in Seoul and we already booked a performance venue in Osaka and Tokyo for the end of November and December. We're in the process of adjusting schedules for further performances," Hyun-suk revealed. 

He went on: "I think this concert will be quite special. It resonates with those who grew up with 2NE1's music, sharing those memories. And in the case of 2NE1, they have an incredible number of hit songs so all the staff are working hard together to create a successful show."
