Jessa Zaragoza reveals the real reason she doesn’t do acting projects anymore

<p>As one of the performers for Dingdong Avanzado’s upcoming showbiz anniversary concert <em>The Original Prince of Pinoy Pop</em>, singer and actress Jessa Zaragoza said she is already used to her husband’s professionalism when it comes to performing. </p><div><span style="background-color:transparent">“Lagi naman sa mga concerts namin, yung performances namin, especially naku, working with Dingdong, grabe ang attention to detail. Maiiyak ka (laughs). Grabe yan. Kaya through the years na magkasama kaming mag-asawa, marami na kaming shows na napagsamahan. 23 years na kami mag-asawa. So ang tagal na naming nag-pe-perform together. Natutunan ko na rin yung ways niya. Attention to detail talaga at every show, pinag-iisipan niya talaga na gusto niya hindi lang 100% yung ibigay niya.</span></div><div><span style="background-color:transparent">&quot;Kailangan lalabas yung mga tao na enjoy sila at gusto nila ipagkalat yung ganda ng show. At hindi lang yung para ipakita mo lang na ito yung talent namin, magaling kami. Lagi niyang hinahanapan na magkaroon ng puso yung show. Wala. Ang nakakatuwa lang, we feel so blessed na nandito kami sa pagkakataon sa career namin na we can choose kung ano yung trabaho na gusto namin tanggapin, na hindi naman lahat nakakagawa ng ganun. Kumbaga, hindi na ito yung point sa buhay namin na nakikipaghabulan kami kasi very grateful na din naman kami sa naiambag namin sa music industry.</p><p>&quot;So parang ako ngayon ang mas na-enjoy ko na mga projects, kung sakaling dumating, feeling ko meron akong iba pang kailangang gawin, medyo hindi ko muna tatanggapin yun. Hintay na lang ako sa susunod. Isang reason din yun kasi yung commitment na kailangan hindi ka mag-a-absent di ba? At saka siyempre may kontrata yun. Hindi ka puwedeng umalis ng six months. Oo (may offers) at saka sa soap, kaya din hindi ako nakakatanggap ng soap, natatanggihan ko din kasi honestly nahihirapan na talaga ako sa puyat (laughs). Hindi na ako bagets, hindi ko na carry! Parang gusto ko pa din mas ma-enjoy yung singing career ko. Parang feeling ko dapat pipili ka lang ng isa. Yung tipong ganun. Yung realistic ba na mas magaganda mo ng maganda pareho. Kasi kunyari kung nagyoyoso ka or talagang alcoholic ka or umiinom ka ng maraming mga alcohol, nakakaapekto pa rin talaga sa voice yun. Buti na lang hindi ako talaga nahilig dun so okay naman,” she added.</p><p>Watch Dingdong and Jessa perform at The Original Prince of Pinoy Pop concert happening on July 19 at The Theatre at Solaire.
