After joining the cast of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo earlier this year, Star Magic artist Yce Navarro could not help but share how happy he was to be part of his first television series in his Instagram post last July 7. Born Isaiah Vhong Navarro, Yce played the role of Ruben, the sidekick of actor Elijah Canlas’s character in the popular primetime show. 

In his post, Yce made sure to thank everyone who supported him on the show, “It’s hard to gather my thoughts and feelings as I watch myself die before my very eyes… Wow HAHA but, looking back, there was nothing but great memories these past several months. To the staff and prod, thank you po sa inyong lahat sa pag-alaga sa'kin, sa mga kwento, at tawanan. Kahit minsan tawag niyo sakin Ace or kung ano man, okay lang. Pinapatawad ko na po kayo. Eme. Shoutout sa make up and wardrobe! Mamimiss ko kayo.

"To our directors, Direk Malu, Direk Darnel, Direk Kevin, Direk Vince, Direk Jen, Direk Ambo, thank you po for helping me grow as an actor. Sorry po kung minsan hindi ko nasusunod o nagagawa ng tama yung direksyon niyo kaya sobrang thankful po ako sa patience niyo sa akin. Thank you rin dahil sa inyo, narealize ko na ito po talaga ang career na gusto kong gawin. Sana makawork ko kayo ulit hehe.

"To my fellow actors, thank you for being so kind and warm towards me. Kila Kuya Renz, McCoy, Kim, Ivana, Kuya Nikko, Kuya Niel, Kuya Onin, at marami pang iba, salamat. Special shout out po kay Tito Jim, Tita Tessie, and Tita Malou, thank you po for guiding me and giving me advices. It’s an honor to learn from the best veterans in the industry.

"To Jelo and Ara, this whole experience wouldn’t be the same without you guys and I’m grateful I found good friends in you. Kahit puro kalokohan sa tent, professional naman sa set. I learned a lot from you guys. Thank you. Sa lahat po ng bumubuo ng Batang Quiapo, maraming salamat po! More power po sa inyo! Support pa rin ako syempre! Ayun lang naman. Bounce na ako, boi! The showbiz newcomer also gave a special mention to Batang Quiapo star Coco Martin who gave him his first big break in the industry.

“To Direk CM, nasabi ko na po to sa inyo pero thank you po ulit sa pagtupad ng pangarap ko. Sobrang idol ka po ng lolo ko nung buhay pa siya, wala po siyang pinaglagpas na show at pelikula nyo. Sigurado po ako tuwang tuwa at proud siya sa heaven na may mga eksena ang apo niya kasama ka (kahit binugbog niyo po kami 😭 hahaha). Maraming salamat din po kasi napasaya niyo po ng sobra ang lolo ko nung nabubuhay pa siya sayang nga lang po hindi na nya naabutan na nakasama ko po kayo. Words are not enough to express my gratitude and learnings pero daldalhin ko po lahat ng ito hanggang sa pagtanda ko,” he added.

Proud parents Vhong Navarro and Bianca Lapus also congratulated their son on his latest achievement in the post.

Vhong wrote, "Great job,Yce! 👏❤️😍” while Yce’s mom hoped for more good opportunities to come his way.

Bianca wrote, “Can i just say that i am such a proud mom? reading your heartfelt message shows the kind of man you truly are. More than your achievements, it is your good heart and humility that makes me truly proud 👏 ❤️ praying for more projects and opportunities for you coz i saw your passion and hardwork you did sa BQ despite the real life bruises and cuts , you were always excited to be on the set or when you guys have trainings/workshops. gonna miss your secret video greetings and photos with jelo and ara, it always made me happy too hehehe. Congratulations! i love you so much! ❤️”

Yce is Vhong’s son with former partner Bianca Lapus. He also has an older son named Friedriek from a previous relationship. Vhong married longtime girlfriend Tanya Winona Bautista in Kyoto, Japan in 2019.
